Will patching only be available tomorrow when the servers go up? I got the client when it was floating around last week (>_>), but I haven't been allowed to "view the launcher" in order to patch it yet, so far.

I'm not going to have to download and install again, am I?

Edit: Never mind, it's patching now, so presumably you guys just turned the switch.

Never assume.

The NDA has a clause within it that says it will be in effect until Release, or until lifted by Cryptic. So it's best to wait for the announcement.

Woot! 2.5 Gb patch started, but still looks to be faster than grabbing the entire client.

A: The Open Beta began on January 12, 2010 and will end on January 26, 2010.

Still experiencing hard locks on the STO downloader actually reaching a decent connection speed. As in, the computer freezes in such a way that I have to press the external power button to be able to do anything. Last time it froze it was at 6%, this time around it started downloading at 8%, should I just leave it frozen and hope for the best?

As I understand it, it begins at 10am Pacific time, 6pm GMT. It will probably finish at the end of the working day just before the head-start begins. (When everything goes offline again and gets wiped).
