Noteworthy: In one shot, you can distinctly see a shield "bubble" effect when a ship comes under fire. Watch carefully, it's one of the first space battle shots.

also of note, I saw a Centaur in their video firing pulse phasers, but it's listed in the light cruiser category.....a mistake? a pre-beta balance issue? is the Centaur intended as the entry level escort, like a preview of what the real escorts can do?

yeah, at :43 secs...I hadnt noticed that. It sold footage too. mybe it experimented with it and gave up...maybe they are still tweaking it or implementation later in development.

i wouldnt have noticed hadnt you said something....good catch.
