"In our continuing series on video game addiction, we talk to renowned video game designer Bill Roper. Currently, Roper is an executive at Cryptic Studios where he oversees MMORPG's like Champions Online and Star Trek Online. We get an insider's perspective on what goes into creating a successful game, including game mechanics, demographic considerations, and more. We specifically ask him his thoughts on video game addiction as well."

Can someone help me translate... I got confused with the English used here.... I thought it said CO and STO were successful....

Well I must admit, if you are trying to break peoples addiction to your game, p***ing off your customer base and refusing to answer any of their questions or address any of their concerns will sure help you with that!

I would like to know if i will have to refer people to get my hands on an excelsior?
cause I pay my sub and truthfully I dont want to pay for an excelsior on top of that.
cryptic says it will be available through in game means. cool ! Im sure someone will post somewhere on here how i get one, and ill be happy.

if cryptic isnt making enough from subs they need to charge more. i might and i might not. it really depends on whether or not im getting what i paid for, those poor sods who bought the Gal-X didnt.

from all I have read about the Gal-X its not worth 25$, thats unfortunate.
I am glad i didnt buy one.

I'm gonna admit I've been completely wrong about Bill and it's been based on all the negative news he's received. It's amazing how Hellgate took over as the big story, and it wasn't even a big deal nor his fault. He's definitely one of the pinnacles of the gaming industry and deserves a great amount of respect.

Hats off to Bill for doing this for CABF and for contriubuting so much to gaming over the years.

Why do we care about anything that Dollar Bill Roper has to say?

And why are you posting a link to this anti-gaming website? This is like a beer company running ads for Alcoholics Anonymous.

Just wow. You marketing geniuses never cease to amaze me.
