Default Engineering Report - April 20, 2010

For more information about Engineering Reports, see the "What are Engineering Reports?" thread at the top of the Forum.
__________________________________________________ __________________________________

Greetings!

First off wanted to thank everyone who is taking time to test out the upcoming Season 1.1 changes on Tribble. Your feedback is being read and reviewed and there have been several meetings that were spawned specifically from your threads and comments. We are working on some additional features and updates to get into the 1.1 build so look for another Tribble update sometime before this weekend. Once you have a chance to test out the additional tweaks and feature, we'll review your feedback and make the call on when to post the build to Holodeck.

Progress continues on multiple fronts as the team is split into two groups. One team is working on Season 1 updates (we still have the 1.2 and 1.3 update to go!) while the other half focuses on the Season 2 release. You may've noticed we've started running polls and asking for more feedback on the forums, and I can reassure you that we take these polls and your comments in them seriously. So please participate! We've even added a new "Polls" subforum so you can easily find them.

As always - this isn't everything the team has in the cooker, and certainly doesn't represent all the bugs we have on our personal fix it lists. If you have questions or comments about issues - respond to this thread and I'll do what I can to track down an answer.

Aww, not first

Anyway, it's good to see that ground combat on Elite is under investigation. I think space might need to be, too - torpedo HYTs, especially plasma, seem to be doing damage out-of-scale with the NPCs standard-shot capabilities.

The design team is reviewing players comments and feedback about the decision to grandfather the old consoles and discussing a possible change. Nothing determined yet. Its under investigation.

Default pvp

Can there be some kind of auto forfiet if all members of one side beam or warp out in pvp. There are too many rage quitters doing pvp hampering completion. Both sides are guilty but this would at least reward the players willing to stick through it.

Ok i just assumed a decision as large as that would be standing firm as a lot of thought must have already went in to it. Grant it i am somewhat bias since i spent 50mil stocking up on old ones for future characters..........
