Default A Few Words with Leonard Nimoy (September 15, 2008)

Razor had the chance to sit down with Star Trek legend Leonard Nimoy last month at the Star Trek convention in Las Vegas. Read what Nimoy has to say about filming Trek, games, the new movie and more.
(The Enterprise crew) are good people doing good work for good reasons. I think that's terribly important, a big part of what the whole franchise is about: the hopefulness of the future, and professional people working together, successfully solving problems.

Very nice interview. Thanks, Razor - and thanks, Leonard, for taking the time.

I recently watched Star Trek IV again, and... yes. My favorite of the movies, bar none, precisely for the reasons he mentioned. The humor, the fact that everyone has something important to do... all of it.

Also, Scotty. Hello, computer!

I agree about the humor. Its gonna be the little details that will make Trek come alive in STO.

After seeing Leonard Nimoy sans-Shatner at the convention in Vegas, he comes off as extremely intelligent and creative, and this interview supports that notion 100%. He also seems to really believe in the ideology behind Star Trek.

Basically: he's an awesome guy! Hopefully STO will really live up to his (and our) expectations.

I'm actually glad Mr. Nimoy brought up the issue of humor in Star Trek. STO would have an added layer of depth if the devs threw in an occasional joke or funny situation. Harry Mudd, anyone?

Default Interesting Aspect - This Humor

Yes, humor is very important in the star trek series. Hopefully Cryptic will heed Leonard Nimoy's call to incorporate intelligent humor in STO.
