Holiday Treats

One thing I liked about WoW & FFXI is that they did specail little things for diferent holidays. LEts sujest some sort of things that can happen in this game for diferent holidays that have a star trek feel.

I will start by sugesting that for halloween we should be able to use Holo's to look like other races.

Yeah, CoX does the same thing, so I expect to see it in CO and STO.

little things like holiday goodies are one thing that I think can really go a long way to make a good game a great game. IMO it shows the players that the Devs are interested in creating an enjoyable experience that is not stagnant.

I thought that CoX did the best holiday festivities since UO (it was the original or at least first one to do it anyway)

WoW, I wasn't so impressed with in this so much. All they did was add one new npc and one new vendor to each starting city.

I'm all for holiday events, they did them all the time in the series'. And everyday would be a party on my ship because crew member birthdays, entertaining Diplomats, First Contact day (Federation), etc.

I think thats a great idea wow just had brewfest and they did more then just as 1 NPC to the game there was lots of fun little quests and a new boss with realy good lots and free beer for everyone :)

i like the idea, have a galaxy wide easter egg hunt, or have silly (harmless) pranks pulled on us on april fool's day like we beam down, and whoops, our pants are at our ankles, it would be fun to pass santa and the reindeer as we are about to hit warp drive. or maybe even give out smurfs on boxing day....what would you like to see, captian mitchell?

I definitely would not be opposed to seeing seasonal events happen in Star Trek Online, but they would have to be done differently from other massively multiplayer online games since there is already so much established in the Star Trek universe. I really hope that the developers are willing to look into all kinds of source material for these kinds of special events, because otherwise I think these events might break the feel of the universe.
