I have said all along we should get faction credits from doing missions. Depending on how hard the missions are, we should get credits for it. Now the credits would be used toward all things within your factions, and also for personal use.

BUT.......

When it comes to dealing with non-faction NPCs or players, what should we use in traded?

IMO Latinum is the best choice, and their should be a credit to Latinum exchange.

Follow the link to see the different forms of Latinum used on star trek:

And...........

If your dealing with new races in the game, ones that has no ties to any faction, and don't use Latinum, how should trade be doe with them?

This is where the barter system should come into place. A few fuel cells you made to there spec, or a plasma coil, or even a few computer chips. Anything you trade should be to the level of these new races.

Anyway lets hear how you guys think on this topic.

I also am holding out hope for a faction based system with a 3rd party go-between IE Ferengi but this was before the anouncement of the Ferengi joining the Feds.

Feds barter with Ferengi
Fed prestige with other Feds
Klingons barter with Ferengi
Klingon honor with other Klingons
Ferengi barter with Feds and Klingons

Are we all kids here? What's with this owned crap? Anyway, at the time I posted this topic, it was late, didn't think to look for other postings, so...................... now you have my post.

Anyway, this is more in lines with the currency vs how the ecomomy will work. It's all about the money, and how will will be paided in trade.
