Dauntless Class? And other such Alternative timelines

The Dauntless class was, of course, an alien trap created in the Delta Quadrant. However, in the 26th century alternative timeline, the Dauntless design appeared to adopted by the federation.

My question is, what are your thoughts on seeing such designs, or things like the Enterprise J, incorporated into STO?

The Enterprise J should not be in STO, because it is from the 26th century. STO in the Beginning of the 25th and we should only be seeing the Enterprise F or G depending on how much longer they decided to let the Enterprise E run around.

I cant wait to see the rest of the timeline leading up to 2409 :).

We can always use more classes so everyone isnt commanding the same type of ship and gets tired of seeing them.

It is not hard to imagine the Dauntless class making an appearance; Voyager's experimental quantum slipstream drive was presumably derived from that of the Dauntless. It is a safe bet that Starfleet tried to develop the technology after Voyager's return; perhaps hull geometry and such played a role in creating a stable slipstream an so, in an effort to make it work, Starfleet just copied the overall design of the ship.

As for previously seen alternate timeline stuff? Could be interesting or just easter eggy, depending on how it is presented.

While I'd like to see the Dauntless purely because I like its design, it doesn't seem to fit with the aesthetics of the ships we saw in the gameplay video. Not to mention it'll probably be vastly overpowered compared to other ships. At best, it should only appear very rarely, and only during temporal related missions.

It's possible we could have that ship class.

Never know, it could be written that the alien found news about it being a prototype ship among the intercepted Federation Transmissions to Voyager and deleted any future mention. Or the Federation saw the design during Voyager's debriefing and adopted it as an actual ship class.

As for the Enterprise-J, no. That ship type probably won't be put on the drawing board for another 70 years. Frankly, in the main Star Trek timeline, I seriously doubt the J will be around in the 26th century, probably the G or the H, depending on the events given now and then. Because I hate Enterprises being blown up every 20 years to get the J. :p

What I mean about the Enterprise J, I'm refering to just general ships that only appear in alternate timelines, like Harry Kim's Yellowstone class runabout.
