Wouldn't it be cool if they came out with a mirror universe faction? I know that every person who gets this game will play as the Federation. OK, maybe a few for the Kilingons, but not too many. I think they should create a playable Starfleet Empire faction. I know I would play for that faction, and probably a lot of other people would be drawn from the Federation, and make for better warfare. Also, it would be a faction with equal ship types and firepower with the Federation. Probably the only problem is all of the hardcore TNG fans who have never seen a TOS episode in their life wouldn't even know who the mirror "Empire" is. As a negative, it might screw up the TNG cannon. Any opinions?

I could see a Mirror Universe invasion being a story arc or expansion.

If they had multiple servers, perhaps you could have the normal server and a Mirror Universe server that might be interesting.

Im not talking about seperate servers. Im talking about a the alternate starfleets blasting away at eachother. Check out these mirror ships.

Of course, if we DID have a playable mirror faction, the missions would be very unusual.

For example, you might have to blow away slave uprisings and blast unarmed ships out of the sky.

Also, I'm looking for an episode where a Federation ship actually took on a Imperial ship.

By the way... does anyone know of an episode where a Federation ship actually took on an Empire ship?

My fav episode is mirorr mirorr but even for the fans that never seen that episode there is some from ds9 and from the show enterprise also had one too wich explains more in debth what the mirror version of startfleet is like. Also i read dark mirror wich is the mirror version for tng that takes place during the 4th season time line. Enterprise explains how they are more powerfull then the normal universe and how the eolve to conquere. It also explains how that torture machine was evolved, that they use in mirror mirror and in the book dark mirror.

No. It's just not needed. Maybe a few missions into the alternate universe but only in a limited manner.

I agree. Mirror Universe factions probably aren't a good idea for playable races. Either you'd have to keep all the Mirror players in the mirror universe and have a crossover every once and a while, or you'd just have copies of the Federation and Klingons running around. Encountering the Mirror Universe in missions would be interesting, but not as a playable race..

Enterprise episodes.

Into the Mirror Darkly I think or something similar.

USS Defiant destroyed several of the ISS ships. (As well as Tholian). (This was the Constitution class Defiant, not the Defiant Class one)

Though the USS Defiant as from 100 years in the future of the ISS ships and was crewed by the mirror universe Archer and his cronies (well until Hoshi killed him with poison and declared herself Empress Sato)

Eh, I don't know about that. It seems like too much work for Cryptic to try and fill in all the other gaps of history for the other timeline, and then build off of it and create missions for us. Not to mention we've already got at least the Klingons and eventually the Romulans, so throwing in another human faction (albeit evil) seems redundant. Plus, you'd have a bunch of ships flying around where one faction looks almost exactly like the other, but with more militaristic details. A tad confusing.
And then there's the problem that they're in a parallel universe to ours. So if you really think about it, we shouldn't have much contact on them more than the scale of about 1 to 5 ships at once, tops. Only in freak accidents like the one in ENT/TOS. I'd much rather have them including in some missions than have them as a whole faction.

I also agree. Limit it so it doesn't become comical or common. A cross ever every once in awhile is ok but IMO not for a full playable faction.

Oh look, its me again. Didn't I just see him yesterday.

I think alot of ppl are going to be suprised when the full force of the Klingon Empire comes rolling out

I would almost beat there are alot of players looking forward to playing a Klingon.

Um, was it really necessary to bring up two threads concerning this?
It would be nice if you would try and merge the two. No need for redundancy, here. The forums do that by themselves pretty well by bring up the same topic over and over....and over :D

I figure it is ok to share:

Jack Emmert said "How can we NOT have the mirror universe". Doubt it will be a playable faction however.
