First of all, welcome to the forums! Second, as you already know, the number of ships is not yet known but you can get an idea of what some of the ships will be by looking at the screenshots and watching the gameplay trailer on the main Star Trek Online website.

Yes !!! Qapla new member. Welcome home. And to answer your question. Take all the newer ships in the TV series and expand off that list. We still dont know yet. :(

thx,. whell game looks good,to bad that is not in dominion war , and if it set in 2409 that mean that many of original st ships will not be in game,like excelcior ,miranda,sabre,steamrunner,intrepid.,and other canon ships.,

Theres no confirmed ship list yet, in the next "Ask Cryptic" I asked them to list or confirm a few ships just so we can know what kind of classes will be in the game. However they did say that all our "favorites" will be in the game so I would assume that ships like the Defiant, Intrepid, Galaxy, Sovereign, Nebula, Akira classes and so on will be in it. We saw a Sovereign Class refit of sorts in the video along with a Galaxy Class that looked unaltered, which made me pleased to see a classic unchanged. The only Klingon ship I saw was a Vor'Cha Class or something that looked just like it, firing at the starbord nacelle of a Federation ship.

No, I don't think it means that at all. It's very possible those ships could still be in service in various reduced roles.

Look at the Miranda Class, its been around since the year 2285 and its still in service today. So if Starfleet decommisions the Intrepid class because "its too old" and its only been around since the year 2370 ... Ill be mad.
