I personaly hope they will have the Ferengi expansion first as I like to play a neutral character who is not on any factions side but one of making money....

Why dont we just try to get the game ready first before talking about expansions
Romulans for me, but i've not heard about the ferengis being added as neutrals, was it in any of the webcast or interviews?

I would rather the first expansion focus on Romulans than the Ferengi.

Romulans and Cardassians will be next factions to be released. I'm a Romulan fan myself.
I hope somehow a free trading faction will be thrown in there somewhere soon, especially with the importance Cryptic has placed on an economy.

I definitely like the idea of bringing the Romulans in after launch, and I think that they are the best choice for the next race. That being said, I also would really like to play a Ferengi and I hope that the Ferengi faction is implemented in the game sooner rather than later!

My guess is that the Ferengi will be a neutral non playable race at launch (ala Goblins on WoW), then maybe playable at a later expansion.

At release we will have Fed/Klingon so for the next espansion I could see a Romulan/Ferengi expansion. If we are reduced to only 1 then I say Romulans first.

and yeah, having Borg in game is a must, i want to play as a part of the collective. Cryptic fill put them as playing race sooner or later cause resistance is futile.

I guess the Romulan Empire will be a MUST NEED addon after Klingon and Federation. 3 different points of view to rule the galaxy...ok ok....Ferengi are fine, but , they dosent wants to rule the Galaxy, they wants to buy it!

I think we are all forgeting the state of the romulan empire as of the end of Nemesis. They are likely just recovering from civil war, and in no position to fight. That said, i think that an expansion pack to explore their territory would be nice, but i doubt we will play as them.
Perhaps, as was hinted in both the series as well as by the devs, feds will be allied with the romulans, and will be able to have romulan crew members.

I'd have to agree with everyone else here and say the Romulans are a natural first choice for an expansion. I'd also like to add that the Dominion would be a logical next step if they decide to have them make a comeback (And add part of the Gamma quadrant to boot) so I think the Ferengi would be a distant 3rd choice much later down the road. If they do decide to add an economy based faction I'd like to see an all-race Free Trader faction before a Ferengi faction anyways.

Romulans are key to the political dynamic of the Galaxy. Ferengi are comic relief. I don't think there should ever be a Ferengi expansion. They should be the annoying shop keepers you have to deal with on BFE planets.

Exactly what Cryptic did with CoH. I hope they stay that route here. Paid expansions to a MMORPG is just milking the fans.

I'd hope to see the Romulans first, with the Cardasians to follow. (Release at the same time would be fine, but it'll probably be easier to balance one race at a time...)
The Ferrengi will add a lot of fun, but their whole game is playing every side, every faction like chumps. So the really need more than 2 factions to shine.
