Borg as playable faction...?

i have been reading a lot on the forums from klingon, romulan, federation and even cardasian fleets...
what i am whandering is opinion from u guys about the Borg.
as a playable faction, or any idea/suspichins u might have.?:eek:

Answer here will be the same as the other thread; No. Borg don't need to be wussified anymore. Making them a playable faction would make them even weaker than they already are just for play balance. The Borg should be a major threat, not FotM.

Thats why they should be able to be a pain anytime anywhere...

They should be a playable race, but just like any other faction fleet you join, need to be built up.

Well here's more reasons not to, as the big bad guy, giving them a face like the major mistake Berman did with them, just made them into another entity that people stopped caring about. There shoudl of never been a Borg Queen ever introduced to tell us why they were assimilating. The only thing we should of known is that they are the Borg and they destroy countless lives and worlds through assimilation and taking free will away. Giving a face and a reason to your bad guy just destroys the bad guy more.

The Borg shoudl never be made a player race. Freed Borg, yes, I say players are free to do what they want in that regard, but the Borg Collective itself? No way, I want the Borg to be threatening, to know that if I see a cube on my scanners, I will undoubtedly have to call in help for it or get extremely lucky, not to sit there and go, oh, I just need to fire X torpedoes and move on.

I absolutely do not think that the Borg should be a playable faction because I think that they will seem like much more of a threat if they are kept to missions and other non-player character roles.

Personally I don't feel the Borg should be a playable race. Individuality has no place with them. I think they shuld remain playthings of the Dev's. Also, after I see a player convo / hail me with "We are the Borg. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile." for the 100th time I may have to kill them all :D
