There's no real Stigma for Cross Dressing in the canon universe.
I think this TNG episode uniform is a nice asexual uniform option.

Bald females should be fairly common as well.

Lol... Can we force the females to wear go-go boots with that too?

I would rather see women in trousers instead of the MMO convention of turning women into sex objects. Something to be said for an officer who dresses like one.

Or at the least nonsexual skirts that are more just for comfort. It is a military organization after all

But another thing, what about klingon women.

found it in the wiki... its called a "Skant"
http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Skant#Skant

According to the book The Art of Star Trek, "the skirt design for men 'skant' was a logical development, given the total equality of the sexes presumed to exist in the 24th century."
The uniform was used primarily by background actors, though "Encounter at Farpoint" featured both Deanna Troi and Natasha Yar in skant-type uniforms, the latter only briefly. While Troi got a new look entirely for subsequent episodes (according to the Star Trek: The Next Generation Companion the uniform was referred to as the "Space Cheerleader" look),

RP Gamers often cliam that it is completely normal to role play atypical types or change gender.
It seems kinda wierd to me, but I guess I could try being a sexy goat man in a skirt for a few games.

in the 24th centuy, we no longer care about sexuality, Gay is normal, straight is normal, Bisexual is normal, Xenophilia is normal.

It's against my culture's morals to wear ANY clothing :p

I cant see the practicality of wearing a dress for anyone working on a starship. If a type of clothing doesnt work today it sure wont work in 400 years because of technology! Right? ;)

This takes place well after the guy in a dress era of TNG therefore I don't think it's necessary.

I recall being puzzled when STNG first introduced the man-skirt for our viewing pleasure. At least our hero is wearing some type of spandex shorts under his peculiar outfit...as opposed to say...red Uhura undies. Perhaps he is off to play tennis with his pals. Later, when we are introduced to the dress uniform the cut seems nearly identical in length. The dress uniform in contrast is a long sleeved double breasted affair. It seems Picard ran an odd boat.

All I can say on this subject is that more options available to customize characters can only be a good thing.

Yeah I'm with you on that one, there's nothing more embarrassing then whistling at some nice shaven legs, to have them turn around and the guy gives you a long hard look...
Actually there is something worse, it's if he then winks at you o_O

I'm forced to agree with this thinking. It seems that everytime one of these vessels takes a hard whack we see control panels exploding, plama conduits shearing,i beams falling, and bunches of sparks flying everywhere. In an ideal uniform it would be cool if the textile exibited the best qualities of gortex,poly-pro,nomex,wool, etc.. and also protects the greater surface area of skin. The jumpsuits seemed more practical than the other StarFleet uniforms-Enterprise illustrated a fine example. Fire is one of the most critical concerns on any vessel. It would be tragic to see a crispy-critter that perished wearing a manskirt for want of a better uniform dresscode. I'd save the exotic wear for shoreleave.
