Will there be an in game comm channell like in EVE Online or will players have to use their own like Ventrilo.

Jack's mentioned communication in the past. What shape this will take is still up in the air.

My guess is that there will be VoIP available for ship to ship hails, or perhaps within Fleets. I'm sure that there will be the standard text chat channels open to us as well.

CE box will come with a live Voip Communicator you can pin on your Jumpsuit.
Regular Edition will have a thingie you stick in your ear.
Digital Download will have a blinking light on you monitor to tell you you dont have the Universal traslator turned on and you are missing all the really good chatter.

As others have stated, very little is known about what kind of system for communication will be present in-game, but hopefully some kind of voice software will be implemented in the game at some point, if not at launch.
