Currently I have an Xbox 360 which I'd like to use from time to time since my computer is fairly old, but I'd also like to be able to play on the PC when I finally get around to upgrading my system. Will there be any way to get both dvd's without needing to buy the game twice? Like contacting support with your account name and getting a 2nd game cheap?

Not confirmed for console yet, but they want it to. There is no technical reason why not and Champions (which uses the same engine) will be on the 360.

That's a good question, and is possible, but we don't have information yet either way. I would say most likely the answer is no, but Cryptic is the kind of company who would consider the idea.

The ball is more in Microsoft's court. The engine and tech is viable for the 360, but they need Microsoft to clear it.

Hard to say but not impossible since you can only play if you have an account

If they added cd-keys in, it would solve this type of problem. You buy a game, link the cd-key to an account and you're good to go. Want another disc because somehow your 4 year old wanted to play hide and seek with it and it's now lost or your teenager used it as a coaster? No problem, just order another dvd for a few bucks plus s+h!

This way, DVD's themselves (no matter the platform) are no longer expensive. The keys become the 'proof of purchase'.

If they use the same servers, then why not?

Due to the fact star trek is so famous a console version might eventualy be relieced (not anywhere near pc release date though). I think though if their was one console that would get a release it would be the xbox 360.:)

well I don't have a lot of experience with MMOs, but it may be that you don't need to buy a second disk at all. If you are paying for an access key that lets you create an account then the actual client is only on the disk because it is easier and quicker for you to get started, the client can be made available for free as a download, it is useless without a valid account.

maybe then they should think about a "master account", like SOE did it for their games, where they charge ppl once and the person can try/play any of their games. and this could work for crossplattform aswell.

GREAT question, as it pertains to me as well. I have a 360 and might be forced to play it on that until I can upgrade my computer (if it's even on the 360).

I really hope that we will be able to get a "free trial" download on PC and that way we won't have to pay for the PC version if we've already paid for the console version.
