What's up. I'm looking forward to trying out this game.

I have a few questions as I haven't done much research on this game.

1. Is this game going to be geared towards ship to ship combat?

2. How many of the other races are playable?

3. Is this game going to have a pvp type play?

4. Are we looking at a lot of side games with away team missions and such? I like these kinds of things, but usually the thought is better then the implementation. usually what happens is instead of getting 1 type of solid gameplay type, you end up getting 2 types of subpar gameplay. Just speaking from what I've experienced.

I don't know much about this game so I'm looking around, but I do think Star Trek presents a perfect stage for an MMO.

1: Yes, there will be 2 types of combat, ship vs ship (slow tatical fighting) and players vs npc (on the ground FPS/3rd person shooter fast action type).

2: At the launch there will be 2 "Factions" Federation and Klingon each faction will have multiple races you can play.

3: Yes, both PvP and PvE will be available at launch.

4: Yes the game will have many exploration (in your ship) and away mission to play. You will be able to select which npc's (Bridge Crew) will acompany you on your away missions like "pets"

Thanks for the fast response. Disappointing that there's only 2 factions as I'm a big fan of the Romulan fleets, but there's always room for expansions.

I don't like the idea of two types of gameplay. Hope they can pull that off ok without making both subpar.

This sounds pretty sweet from your description though.

Two factions at launch, I believe there will be more factions added with expansion packs etc...

Cryptic Studios are the people producing ST:O now.

Hello and welcome to the forum! Although your questions have already been answered, I thought that I would elaborate on the second one by pointing out that the developers have stated players will be able to create their own races in addition to selecting from pre-existing ones.
