In all of the shows and movies missions just sort of happened. The crew of the ship was just thrown into a situation and they had little choice but to find a way out of it. This is about as Trek as you can get but in a MMO this could get very annoying very quickly. I guess my question is how are they going to make every mission optional to the player but still have a certain Trek feeling about them? How to have random occurrence missions without locking the players into said missions? This seems to me to be a big hurdle to overcome if they want to make a good Star Trek experience and a quality MMO at the same time.
