I just wonder if it will be possible. Can we hail a Klingon ship that is attacking you? It might be a stupid question, but in WoW there was no communication to the other side. I hope that if you and a Klingon are duking it out and you get a call that the Borg are attacking I would hope we could hail them and say ok time out we have bigger problems.
I'm sure everyone here believes that communication across the factions is a good idea.
And will we be able to negotiate treaties and such if we are indeed at war with the Klingons?

I certainly hope so. Whats more I hope we can choose to be cooperative with the other side. I will never forget the days when the federation and IKE fought side by side!

Good times yes. But what will make the alliance more rich is when we fight against the Klingons for a year or two and then fight with them against say... the Romulans.

You should definitely be able to contact the opposite faction. Universal translators and communications technology can't be ignored in this game. Jack Emmert has even said that the Federation and Klingons aren't exactly at war, so why not talk?

Because interaction with other players is such an important aspect of massively multiplayer online games, I think it will definitely be possible to communicate with other factions.
