My apologies if this has already been discussed, I used the search function but did not see this idea posted up yet.

I was just thinking of how cool it would be to have functional holiday or shore leave planets, or even space stations. That is, planets like Risa or Bajor which would not only be beautiful planets to visit - but which would actually buff your crew after you spend some time on them.
So for instance, your crew might receive this buff after visiting a 'pleasure planet':
'Refreshed'
There is nothing better than relaxing under the sun, or lapping through the waves. This member feels incredibly refreshed from his recent trip to a holiday (shore leave) planet. +10 agility, +10% precision
These planets might also serve a purpose as a hub for player interaction. Some players might even be able to work on these planets (voluntarily of course!) as entertainers or bar tenders - catering for the player base who visit these destinations to 'buff' themselves up and recharge their batteries for the battles or exploring ahead.
Just an idea, but may add an interesting and social element to the world of STO.
