I was going to post this in one of other uniform threads, but I realized that it was off topic.

For the federation we can guess that uniforms will be made up of either one piece jumpsuits or a two piece top and bottom. For the Klingons I would assume the main uniform will be made up of two pieces.

Now as many have said and I think nearly all of us hope, there should be some degree of customization even for Federation uniforms. One way to help customization is with add ons things like belts, boots, decorations, hats, gloves, etc...

Now certainly each faction's add ons would have to be limited to things that fit that faction. (there is already a thread on Leisure Clothing (http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?t=6634&highlight=Clothing)) I understand the need to limit the changes one can make to Fed and Klingon uniforms, but I think a fairly liberal level of customization is still reasonable, since I don't want my crew to have to look just like yours :p

In addition to visual add ons, I think the option of add ons that impact game play might be interesting. For instance, nano-tech could easily explain how one uniform could be more phaser resistant than another. I've always wondered when or if nano-tech was going to show up in this aspect of Star Trek, I think it is about time, given the things that are being planned for nano-tech clothing even today.

Thoughts, rants, ideas, suggestions, pictures, goats?

My Nano-Tech idea shall not be ignored :p Come on someone has to have an opinion on this.

Lol... thanks. I'll have to take a look for your comm chatter post when I get back from work. It is hard to get people to respond sometimes because posts seem to move down and off the page rather quickly.
