Ok here's something I've been wondering:

A big part of any MMO is the exploration factor. Now this being STO I assume exploration will be a big part of the gameplay, which is great, so that leads me up to my question...

Warp drive is obviously a part of the game, but how will it function? When I go to warp will I select a system I want to arrive in, see my ship go to warp, and then just drop out of warp into that system once the nessesary time has elapsed? Or will I actually be able to see my ship en-route, and perhaps be able to explore the interior of my ship as I wait for my ship to arrive at its destination?

Also, will I be able to drop out of warp in deadspace for whatever reason? Or may I only exit warp at a designated location?

I know the game is still in its early stages of development, so maybe these are questions that cant be answered yet, but if they are anything you guys can share would be great!

Thanks.

Well you are right that the game is in it's early stages. And there are scant few details about the game.

What we do know is you will be able to travel by warp. And Trans-Warp Conduits will be available to cut down the time it takes to travel the furthest reaches of space. I like to think Trans-Warp Conduits being the Sci-Fi alternative to Portals in Fantasy MMO's.

That is about all we know about the game.
