Will I be able to Multi-Box?

One worry I have about this game is that it is going to include consoles. The last thing I want is a bad port to my pc and I don't want a dumbed down version that always seems to happen when a game is multi-platform. I want full use of my keyboard and macros. And what about add-ons? I am currently a very happy WOW Multi-Boxer but I am always on the lookout for something new and what I have asked here is very important to me.

We are the Borg.

We prefer to think of it as "Multi-Cubing".

If we go by how Cryptic handled multi-boxing in City of Heroes/Villains:

Yes, you will be able to multibox. But you will not be able to use any third-party programs to alter the way your game plays (IE help you multibox better). Cryptic was very stringent when it came to mods for City of Heroes/Villains and was nowhere near as open as Blizzard is when it comes to modding the WoW UI.

But if you're cool with doing everything yourself as you flip between all your different subscriptions of the game, then you should have no problem at all.

I'm not an official Cryptic developer, though. So don't take anything I've said as gospel.

And that is why I never liked City of Heroes/Villains, I like being able to create my own UI. Because, sorry to say, most setups that come with the game just plain suck. I multi-box so I don't have to look for groups and like solo play along with a great online community but not having to group with 12 year olds so if I cannot easily multi-box I don't think STOL will be for me, I use one program to multi-box and it is octopus and that is just so I can use one keyboard and one mouse. But again if this won’t work then I won’t be interested in STOL.

Thanks for the info.

You ever notice that Wow users have no initiative, no skills, just more time and more computers than brains?

And the whole "can I please be in an MMO so I can play entirely by myself?" dumb de dumb dumb.

You should see how they do things over in EVE Online. There are times I wonder if some of these gigantic corporations (EVE equivalent of "guilds") consist of just one guy with lots of subscriptions?

I see they have a great community here already. It is people like you that makes multi-boxing so appealing. And you are the dumb one. You can solo and still interact with the online community. There is so much more to it than what you know. But like I said you people are why I multi-box.

Reasons I Multi-Box:

I have a real life so I have very little time to enjoy gaming so I don't have hours to wait for a group.

I don't like grouping with kids.

I love being able to interact with a real economy and community, there is more to MMO's than just grouping and raiding.

Damn, and here I thought a sense of humor was futile. Maybe it was Locutus's influence. :D
