leonard nimoy had voiced it. in fact, seeing as how they already got him to speak about STO in vegas, im supprised they didnt. all i know is if the game has some kind of intro monologue, he's the man for the job :)

I agree, BUT, those type of things can easily be placeholders. It could very well be they end up with some big voice talent to do the opening voiceover for the actual game.

Especially, because the "but they must be prepared for WAR" part is clearly only for the trailer, and wouldn't be the line for the opening of the actual game.

You want to spend your money on the GAME, not the trailer. Spock is expensive.

The was the most hilarious roast of a celebrity that I had seen.

I think Cryptic is trying to pull away from the established characters as much as possible to give themselves as much flexibility as they can.

im talking about voicing a trailer here, not being a character in the game:p

Could be a $$ thing. I don't know what voice actors get paid, but Nimoy on a Trek game would probably cost too much if they weren't going to use him throughout the game.

My current pipedream is that we'll be able to select from a number of voices for our characters (HA HA HA SO UNLIKELY) and when we first enter the game with them, that voice recites the "Space... the final frontier" we all know and love.

I'd settle for a Male or Female voice reading it, depending on my character, but I'm a dweeb.

Well...it's more realistic than player based bridge crews...

I take major solace in this fact, Cyjack.

Maybe I should ask about it while I'm in Los Gatos later this month.
