The topic is pretty self-explanatory, but how detailed do people want sub-system targeting to be (if it's in that in)
of course you need the major things like sensors, engines, weapons and shields.
but i'd like each sub-system to have some sort of effect, for example sensors could make targetting have to be manual (eg no computer assisted aiming)

Since it was mentioned that you can do things like transfer power from engines to shields, and do things like send crew to make repairs on a section, Im hopeful to see something like this.

Sub-system really needs to be an importan part of the space combat because it is so importan in the shows/movies. You should also be able to target sub-sections of the sub-system, like focus fireing on forward shields.

for shields id like to see foward and aft shields as a bere minimum.

If you look at the trailer at about 1:02, one of the Federation ship's thrusters got blown off. It looks like there may be "body parts" that you can target and shoot out which would be great.

i would like fore(Forward), aft(rear), ventral(underside), dorsal(topside), port(left?) and starboard(right?) shields *and* hull, an option to use manual aiming, and generous subsystem targeting.

I, personally, would like to see an extensive ship to ship targetting system in which you can target and destroy all of a ships vital systems separately, maybe even take out their replicators just to annoy them :D
and don't tell me that you can't take out a ships replicators on their own, I know.

they did it in BC, which is what 7? years old. So dont see why it wouldn't be in the game.
I'd love to have a massive list, and aim at just one. Things like one of the thrusters, making it harder for them to turn.
