Overall after listening to the pod cast and watching the trailer I couldn't believe during the Q and A to that Cryptic developer no one asked about ship interiors during combat. I mean what's the deal honestly?

If 5 of my friends and myself can be running around in my ship in SWG fighting another multi person ship in real time running around the interior fixing things as they are damaged and trading spots as needed all the while seeing whats going on out the window why is this such a mysterious and "new untested idea?"
I WANT to be on my Bridge if I choose too. If I am walking around my ship and there is stuff going on outside I want to see it from the windows. Is this new? Crazy?
Again I can do this RIGHT NOW in SWG. I have always been a Trek fan first when it comes to sci fi. I get that there are tactical advantages to being able to see your ship during combat from the outside but, if I am in the middle of damage control I want to hand off the fighting temporarily to my tactical officer and delegate damage watching the smoke and fire and sparks fly.
Honestly from the outside of the ship it feels more like a detachment from the action not participation. For me at least that was brought to my attention playing Star Trek Bridge Commander. During the single player game you had your crew, you had the immersion. When you played Bridge Commander online suddenly it was outside view only no crew at all. It was like they pulled the immersion plug.
I wish I had been there I would have at least asked why they wouldn't put in this feature. Maybe they have a better reason than, Oh that’s never been done before or whatever. I STILL here people say that. Those people have obviously never played a 4 year old game called Star Wars Galaxies Jump to Lightspeed....
