In DS9, the alternate universe reappeared. The Terran empire after being enslaved began to revolt. So an alternate universe scenario is entirely feasible....as for have your character's counterpart in it would be interesting.

There's a mirror Universe in a TAS episode - TheTime Trap- that the Gorn and several other interesting races can be found "Trapped In" I speculated that this could actually be used as an alt. universe, and a source to encounter/acquire for crew, other known alien races

Not sure how they will handle the Mirror Universe.

As far as I can tell it could be an instance, or it ends up being a GM event where some lucky captains would be chosen as their counterparts make mischief across the Galaxy.

indeed. the actual alt universe from enterprise would be intersting OR seeing something altered in the present (IE yesterdays enterprise) would be intersting as well.

If there was a mirror universe, I would try to smuggle back the original defiant, "it could be blown up by the one huge alliance ship" honestly I don't remember.

Ever since DS9, the Mirror universe hasn't been quite as good, and it was supposed to have been closed off on their side thanks to changes they made in transporters. However, the TOS era Defiant made it into the Enterprise era Mirror Universe through a spacial anomaly. In the future, perhaps this anomaly could be replicated, to allow ships access to other universes. That way, not only could the Mirror Universe we know from DS9 could be accessed, but an alternate Mirror Universe, that is closer to Archer's and Kirk's Mirror Universe, could be accessed, where Evil Spock failed in his peace movement.
