The title is tongue-in-cheek, not serious of course. Since tempers are running high with some of the other debates going on, I thought I would lighten it up with a (nother) post about ships. Everybody relax. Let's watch where things go.

But, to answer my own thread:

Ambassador class, don't know why but I've always loved the look of that ship. That perfect cross between Next Gen and Classic Trek.

To true those nimbloians just have no idea how to make star ships! I mean just look at thier kitten class attack fighters, beaten back by a simple folding chair. Get a clue nimbloian star command and out source your starship building needs!!

Let me start off with saying, if I don't get to captain a certain class, it won't keep me from playing.

I want to captain one or all of these over time.

Akira class
Defiant class
and Sovereign class

Those are my top 3 but I can't wait to see what other ships that Cryptic have waiting.

Now what I would absolutely love to see since they did mention the ability to customize our ships is the ability to actually make new designs, and not like the lousy Star Trek Starship Creator (has got to be THE WORST trek game ever). I mean check out some of these ships for a mod for Bridge Commander, I don't think any of these are actual ships in trek though.

I think actually being able to design your own class of ship would be pretty cool. Sure I will get flamed by the hard core folks but I think it will make the game that much more fun and unique for players.

Seeing as I'm sure they probably won't give me my own Prometheus or Defiant class ships, I've gotta say I love the NOVA class a lot. In case you're wondering which one that is, look above next to the STAR TRECK ONLINE logo. DEFIANT, next to it is the NOVA.

For existing classes of ships I'd love to fly an NX class, an original Constituion class, and a ship of the same class as the Enterprise J.

If I can create a ship I'd stick as many warp cores in it and nacels on it as possible.

Or I'll just make it look like a high heel shoe, stick some nacels on it and call it the U.S.S. Bundy

I don't think there is anything that would make me not play Star Trek Online, but there are some ship classes I would prefer to see over others.
