I'm not sure if this question has been address. I know that the STO is going to be set up for console as well as PC but my question is, is there going to be connected play across the entire universe at the same time on both PC and console?

I don't think this has been talked about, but it has been done before in Final Fantasy XI. However I will say that if this game comes out only on PC I will not be surprised. Age of Conan for the 360 still hasn't materialized. Last I talked to my friend that game's client was still running in debug mode, and ran out of memory often (and consoles have tiny amounts of memory making for quite a technological hurdle).
Building an MMO is a huge project and many of them never get past running a couple of hundred users at once before they realize they do not know what they are doing and the project gets canceled. To throw cross platform development into the mix I would say is asking for trouble. So I would not hold my breath for any console version to be released at the same time as the PC version if at all. But you never know, Cryptic does have a lot of experience in this field.:)
I dont think we will see it for this game an if it duz you will not see it out for some time after the PC has it an most of the bugs fixed

STO is getting Champion Online's policy of having a 360 version and maybe even the "360 Controller Windows Support" for PC Players. I was a bit surprised but not everyone has a next-gen PC rig or can afford one over a 200-400 buck Xbox 360. I think Cryptic is being consumer-finances smart about this.

Even if it comes out for the 360, I'd rather get it for the PC. Can't stand Xbox Live or it's subscription based BS.

They can put it out on PSP for all I care, as long as its seperate server environments. If PC players are playing on the same servers as console users, then that is a probable deal breaker for me.
The UI has to be so limited for a console controller that it is effectively dumbed-down for the PC if they share server environments.
I really hope that isn't the case. I've been waiting for this game my whole life.
