View Full Version : Space to in ship PVP
I know we don't really know how there going to do PvP but I would llike to see people able to beam over to the other ships when you take its Shields out an have player on player fighting in the ships. an if they cant fight you off the ship or kill you have it where you can take over the ship for the pvp instance an the people that was on the ship should re spawn in the brig an have to stay in there for like to 10 minutes be for they can try to retake the ship.
Now in saying that the people that take the ship can not keep it for ever just why there in the PvP spot an after the fight the owners get there ship back an the crew that took it over get some kind of pvp points.
I doubt it will be like that but to be honest if that is the case there isn't much reason to fight another player i think! I know it may be unreasonable to actually capture the other ship but without actual consequences the game will bore soon if you are into the whole PvP thing which i am not...
Trophies should be more interesting, perhaps something to put in your quarters perhaps?
pvp is a big part of all mmo just becuse you will end up doing the sdame thing over an over for pve pvp is never the same

I tend to agree, but I think we do concessions for all types of play skills, maybe have 1 FFA PvP server, where you can take over people's ships and things. Obviously he with the bigger guns, bigger crew, and best skill will win, but it would be interesting to have severe consequences for capital ship vs capital ship battles, especially if you can take over large ships for guild/fleet members. Much like dropping items instead of just gold in EQ or AoC.

The think with FFA PvP servers is People like to gank the noobs that are leveling like in AoC i did it until I stopped playing. They should not have pvp an pve servers but have pvp Instances or even as a think for the holodeck. That way if you dont like pvp you dont have to an if you do you can.

While I don't mind having a server set off somewhere in some dark corner for a completely non PvP community, I think I'd rather just see expansive no PvP areas where players who want to completely ignore PvP can do so. I really don't feel like a PvP anywhere, everywhere, all the time server either. That creates too much of a griefing problem (think of the noobs). Instanced PvP gets pretty dry though. Have large intricate open PvP areas, and allow players to easily enter and leave these areas when they need a break. There's nothing worse than getting stuck dying again and again because the gank squad of 14 year old s are using the newest exploit.
