Finally a game for Trekkies!

The title is a tad misleading. But what i mean to say is that over the years we've seen many Star Trek games but so far Trekkies have been dissapointed. I've played Armada, Dominion Wars, Shattered Universe, Bridge Commander and Starfleet Cmmand. So far Shattered Universe and Bridge Commander are the only games that were interesting in the least. (just in my opinion) Don't even get me started on Legacy! Bethesda screwed Trekkies on that. Didnt even buy us dinner first!

But a while ago hope was in sight! A Star Trek MMO was coming! Then in the blink of an eye all was lost once again. I felt like Trekkies were cursed when it came to games. But then yesterday i found out that STO was alive once again and closer than ever! For that id like to thank Cryptic on behalf of all Trekkies.

I have very specific interests in an MMO. I'm not really in role playing i guess. In Star Wars Galaxies i just loved to log in, Jump into my ship and go blow some stuff up. Maybe raid an Imperial outpost every now and again. But then SOE burned that game alive. So after the death of SWG and STO i was left waiting on perhaps my favorite SciFi story. Stargate Worlds.

But now thanks to Cryptic i have alot to look forward to in the MMO world. I can't wait! :D

There have been maybe 2 good Star Trek games and even those were only B games. The rest are C and lower.

I hope this changes everything. The License is finally out of Bethseda's hands who didn't seem to care at all for it. I hope these guys do. :)

in relation to the thread i loved Armada and enjoyed Armada 2 LOVED SFC3 and Bridge commander was simply the best ST game to date Legacy had a good story but the game is porly made compared to things like Bridge commander
