Hello all, Omega FLeet is a fleet orinization that my friends and I started in anticipation of STO. This fleet will consist of some of the finest crews in Starfleet. Led by Fleet Captain Joseph Baller ( me ) and the crew of the USS Excelsior, registry number NCC-2000-A,(as well as Rear Admiral Thompson) the fleet will consist of ten ships and ten crews.

Each crew should be ready to face any challenge thrown at them. Admiral Thompson and myself will apoint captains to each starship. Once apointed, the captains will then pick their own crew. The primary choices for your crew will be your bridge officers.

As far as ship names go, we haven't named them all yet, so we are open to suggestions. Current ship names are USS-Apex, USS-Tucker, USS-Galvan, and the USS-New Amsterdam.

I am also looking for an EXO, a Security Chief/Tactical Officer, and a Chief Med Officer, if anyone is interested.

We are a friendly group who looks out for eachother. Mutiny is not tolerated. Join our ranks and I can promise you that you will become very well known as a member of Omega Fleet. Progression to new ranks of course is allowed. We plan on allying with other Federation fleets, so if you are needed in another fleet, it will be allowed, and someone will hold your position unless you decide you are needed permanently.

This fleet will consist of ships at the pinnacle of Starfleet's advancements in technology. The Excelsior, for example, is an Ecxelsior 2 class starship. She is a cross between the Excelsior Class of old, and the Sovereign class. She is almost as long as a Sovereign at 679 m long, but she has mor decks,(32). She is also equipped with Starfleet's form of Transwarp Drive, with a top speed of warp 9.999999.

We decided that when the game comes out that we will try to do add-ons like the uniform mods at bridge commander files, and make custom uniforms with the omega patch and the ship patch, if its allowed.

We will try other things such as personilized biridges, rooms,( if any ), but we wont fully know until the games release.

I am in negotians with Sean Tourangeau , also known as stourangeau-designer of the USS Titan, on designing the patches and personilizations. His commision/freelance work does cost a bit of money, so we also decided to add what we call "Starfleet's Finest" to the website/forums. This is a premier membership package. In order to be recognized as such, there will be different levels of donations. These donations will be purely for the further advancement of the site and the fleet. Standard memberships will of course be free. The advantages of being in Starfleet's Finest is higher acsess to certain things on the site/forums,(blogs, bragging rights, etc.)

Standard memberships are just as fun, no really important difference between them. The premier package just helps with funding. Most negotiations are final, however, I will make exceptions under certain circumstances.

Hi again. I still am looking into some other fleets, but what would be the main purpose of this fleet? Exploration? Clean-up? Also, is the Captain interview hard? And what duties does it consist of?

Of course te main mission of the fleet is exploration, like any other part of the Federation. There is a currently more precedent, secondary mission. Omega Fleet consists of the most advanced ships in Starfleet. The flet is Starfleet's go to fleet when a major problem arises. The fleet may have a primary mission of exploration, but if needed, the ships of this fleet are very battle ready. Most of the ships could easily take on the Scimitar with ease.

As far as Captaincy goes, no the interview is not hard. It consists of gameplay history, requires a decent knowledge of Star Trek, something that would tell me that you are captain material. Im sure the Admiral has a couple simple questions, that he would ask through me, as well. A simple process compared to most! Any more questions?

Looks promising and interesting. I'm making no official commitment and will wait on a final decision until a fleet website is up.

This is one of the few possible fleets that I am interested in.

I have been a long time EVE player and have been through everything possible. I would like to find a special group of people that doesn't treat others as numbers. This means working as a group and not being given orders every day to do things unless its based off of a collective effort. All I can say is I would like to talk with you and your group and discuss things over. It would be really kick butt if we had black ships with a big yellow omega on the forward decks. Overall I want to work with a group that uses either teamspeak, ventrilo or that new thing called shockwave if thats what it is. My gaming clan has our own server so if you would like to talk I'd be glad to hook anyone up. If you have your own throw me the IP/port/ and pw in a PM to me. Hope to hear from ya, Crus
