OTG works a bit different then most "guilds" due to the large numbers of people who are in it. Each MMO that has currently playing OTG members is called a chapter (like from a book basically). Each chapter has its own recruitment forums and private forums etc for members of that chapter.

Right now, the game is not in beta/released yet, so there is no official chapter at the moment. Usually when beta hits, the chapter for STO will be formed and recruiment forums put up. But until then, its just members of other chapters signing up for their interest in the game (getting a headcount of who will be moving from the other chapters).

When the chapter is formed, we'll post it :) Its a large casual guild (25+ yr old folks) though, so its not for everyone. :D

In addition to what dragonlight stated, you could still join the "Old timer guild" (OTG) and become a group member. They covers at least 10 MMOs. You could find a suitable game for you until STO gets on either Beta testing, or live. Even if you don't join a Game covered by OTG, you can still be part of it's community, as long as you log on site for at least once a month (or you'd be removed as a member).
One thing sure, is that OTG is a great community at start, which is probably as important as a MMO game itself as it' s your ingame relationships that makes a game much more fun to play.

OTG is not currently recruiting or taking applications from outside of the current guild membership for Aion. Our priority right now is taking internal guild applications and setting up OTG legions durring headstart and after release. With more than 200 current chapter members, that is going to be quite a task.

All I can say I have not heard anyone having problems getting on forums try again and apply here as Aion is still closed to outside recruiting;

To those inquiring as to applying for STO at OTG. You cannot apply for it yet. We accept applications roughly 20-30 days after the game has been launched. This gives us a chance to get things squared away on our end of things. Feel free to apply in general and wait for the game to open up to recruitment though.

There's no STO section on the site cause the webmaster has "Sometimers" and can't remember to add it.

New people that want to join OTG need to wait about a month cause they need that much time to get out of their rockers and answer your knock on their door.

Yes, OTG is in every game around because they're actually part Tribble (it has to do with the initiation rites.. don't ask, don't tell).

And um.. yeah.. hi OTG! I remember you from Thog in AoC back when it was errr Thog... I was the one always lurking around outside your all the guilds on the server server meeting and kinda jumping up and down trying to see over your city wall (Gimme an A gimme an N gimme a YALA! :-).

After you get reinstated, you should be able to see a thread about intraguild recruitment in the STO section of the forums. There will be information there that will help you.
