Join us now!

http://www.ufpfleet.org

UFP was formed by the union of two great fleets, Federation Command [FC] and the Federation [FEDS], with the desire to make the biggest and best trek-only fleet in the entire community. UFP supports as many trek games as possible, such as:

Elite Force I
Elite Force II
Bridge Commander
Starfleet Command III
Armada I
Armada II
Legacy PC
Legacy XBOX 360
Star Trek Online

UFP is always looking for new recruits. Please take a good look at our fleet infrastructure (see website) and if you have what it takes don't hesitate to join us.

If you've seen enough to convince you already, click here (http://www.ufpfleet.org/index.php?page=enlist) to join us now!

UFP was formed under the precepts of fair game play and equal opportunity. Every cadet who enters the Fleet may one day become Fleet Admiral if he or she is of the right material, or at least go very far in the clan if they present themselves as capable and willing officers. We have many Veteran officers with heaps of experience that are willing to help you develop any aspect of leadership, gaming, diplomacy, or even role-playing. This means that if trek is your thing, you'll feel right at home here.

Starting to get interested now? I hope so. Below is a summary of what we have to offer:

Increased enjoyment of online gaming
Trek-only atmosphere and member pool
Diverse fleet with people from all around the globe
Military-style command structure
Stable Fleet structure

I hope to see your application!

As Alexraptor has stated we are a group of people who enjoy star trek gaming. We have a large number of officers in all the trek games listed and with STO now back we expect our numbers to rise even higher. We're a bunch of easy going people so why not stop by and check us out HERE (www.ufpfleet.org). Who knows, you might see somthing you like.

If you are truly interested in one of the greatest Trek clans out there, the [UFP] is ideal for you - catering to most significant ST Games with an online presence with a stable, active officer core of at least 50 officers. The United Federation of Planets is not just a clan, its a group of friends from all walks of life celebrating the true ideals of Star Trek.

I started as a lowly Cadet, and now i''m a Starfleet Rear Admiral - Not once have I looked back or regretted joining, it truly is a worthwhile clan to join.

If you don't believe me, check out the website. www.ufpfleet.org

Greetings to my fellow officers of [UFP] as well as to all other players!

Starting as a Cadet just a few months ago, I am at the rank of Lieutenant now and an officer at [UFP]'s Starfleet Academy, where I am responsible for training of new Cadets.

At [UFP] you will find a highly organized clan, where you can have both role-playing elements and just having a good time with your fellow officers. Once you have graduated from Starfleet Academy you can join one of [UFP]'s several departments obliged with specialised duties or serve within [UFP]'s different fleets. Both will grant you the opportunity to rise in rank very quickly and gain positions of responsibility, if you want.

Besides that you will find a lot of fine officers to play Star Trek (and other) games, to chat via messenger or voice chat or to write to in our very active forums. And of course we have tournaments and competitions within [UFP].

So if you are looking for a whole lot of fun and a Star Trek clan with a long tradition, then I hope I will see you again at [UFP]!

Cheers,
[UFP]HMS Beagle

Greetings Everyone,

I am Fleet Admiral Picard the current commanding officer of UFP. We are very optimistic about Star Trek online and we plan on having a huge presence in the game. UFP is the last large fleet dedicated only to Star Trek games. We have been able to continuously grow despite of the current community poor shape because of our dedicated and professional officers who all share the common goal of advancing the star trek gaming experience, this and our ability to retain those who join us, a fun place sells itself. We are eager to share the good times and experience we have accumulated among the years with new capable motivated recruits. If you are a Star Trek fan and love to game in a incredible role playing environment with countless possibilities, [UFP] is the place for you. We have large numbers but we are also a family dedicated to Star Trek Values.

If you are not sure, check this out and feel free to register on our forums, you will see for yourself.

ICEMANHG
08-12-2008, 05:41 PM
People sometimes dismiss little ships as nothing as pests. The Rhode Island might be tiny, but it has enough firepower to take out larger ships. Plus its fast and maneuverable as heck.

Bailo
08-12-2008, 05:43 PM
Well..it had better be in STO is all i can say. Infact...its quite new so it probably will be. I wonder how many of the familiar ship classes that we are familiar with will be in STO....something to think about there :)

ICEMANHG
08-12-2008, 05:45 PM
yeah I hope they have the Rhode Island. Its a new enough ship class that it could be included in the new generation setting. I could just see it now....a entire fleet of [UFP] Rhode Islands flying around.

Bailo
08-12-2008, 05:47 PM
Well i think people would want to be a bit more adventurous with their ship types than just stick with the familiar ones. I suppose thats the good thing about having such a large fleet is that people will have different ship classes each with their own strengths and weaknesses. So theres always someone around to help out.

ICEMANHG
08-12-2008, 05:49 PM
With the amount of officers we have it wont be a problem getting help. Im sure guys like Data and Artful will try to get Sovereign's or Promies.

I have to agree with SOME of the things said in regards to UFP. I don't think you could find a group more dedicated to a pure trek clan as this one. I left as a "Fleet Captain." Although I'm no longer part of UFP, I think it is a good place to hang out. Most, if anything, for the social part. The inner workings needs fine tuning...But overall a good place to be.

(Starfleet) Rear Admiral IceManHG slammed the datapad on his nightstand with an angry fist.
It seemed like he had only been asleep for 5 minutes. For the slightest instant he was tempted to ignore the call and to go back to sleep.

"Computer, what time is it."

The computer came back almost instantly, "Current shipboard time is 0200 hours"

What the hell...he did not remember requesting any periodic status updates from Captain Davenport. So whatever this message contained must have been important enough to come directly to him while bypassing the bridge.

"This better be good...." he growled

IceManHG rolled out of bed, put on a robe and sat down in front of the data terminal sitting on his desk. He sighed and pressed the acceptance key. The face of Admiral Viper, the CO of Starfleet filled the screen. Years of experience snapped his brain wide awake in an instant. The Admiral did not look happy. IceMan could see the worry lines creasing his forehead.

"Im sorry to wake you at this hour Ice, and im sorry for not allowing Captain Davenport to warn you I was calling, but this is not something I can afford to waste time on.

"No problem Admiral," IceMan said, "after the past month Im used to not getting more than 4 hours of sleep a night."

Admiral Viper smiled for a faction of a second. "I have been reading the reports that your staff has been sending Starfleet Command. The pirate activity in your sector has been keeping all of you on your toes. Im glad that you have finally found a reliable source of information on their attack routes. But what I have to tell you now is more important than pirates raiding Federation shipping.

IceMan's eyes narrowed. The Admiral had his full attention with that remark. "Im all ears." he said.

"8 hours ago, we lost contact with a ship that has been been operating near Tholian space. The ship is the USS Melborne, under the command of Captain Masterson. The ship was conducting reconniscence of several Tholian outposts in the area. Here is the subspace message we recieved 8 hours ago. IceMan's speaker crackled with the sound of a low quality distress call.

"Thats it, thats all we got" said Admiral Viper. "We ran the voice through the computer, it belongs to an Ensign named Nataku."

IceMan looked at Viper for a few moments. "If an Ensign sent this message, it could very well mean that Captain Masterson and his XO are either dead or incapacitated. If all they have left are junior officers running the ship, then we have a problem."

Admiral Viper nodded, "Agreed, but thats not the worst of it. What can you tell me about the Melborne?"

IceMan ran through the list of ships he had in his head. "The USS Melborne is a Nebula Class starship, it was build as a replacement for the Excelsior class ship that we lost during the Battle of Wold 359. I seem to recall reading something about a new type of sensor suite that it was refitted with. Something that Federation R&D had been working on for years. Thats about all I know."

Viper nodded a second time. "You have a good memory. The sensor suite on that ship is years ahead of anything that any of our ships are currently fitted with. And from what we can make out, the Melborne never saw what was coming at them. If the Tholians...or whoever attacked them have a ship that can evade even those sensors....well we have a problem on our hands."

IceMan leaned back in his chair and let the information sink in.

"Don't those sensors have the ability to detect cloaked ships" he asked.

Admiral Viper nodded, "Yes, ever since our alliance with the Romulans after the Shinzon affair they have been supplying us with information about how to more easily detect cloaked ships. They have not told us how to actually negate the advantage of a cloak completely, but R&D finally figured it out. Thats how important those sensors are. They can detect any ship we have ever encountered. Until now."

"Bad news" muttered IceMan.

Viper chuckled. " Thats an understatement if I ever heard one."

IceMan looked at the Admiral, already knowing what was coming. "So what do you want me to do about it? I am at least half a day away from Tholian space, there have to be ships closer to the source of that distress call."

Admiral Viper consulted a datapad on his desk for a few moments.

"The Defiant is only 8 hours away, but they are having maintenance issues. The USS Sovereign is currently responding, but at their best speed they are still 15 hours away. The USS Stardust is currently 4 hours away. They are the closest starship in range. But I want for them to have backup in case they run into something they can't handle."

IceMan looked at his own datapad, "At warp 9.9 it will take 11.5 hours for us to reach the location of the Melborne.

"Then I suggest that you hurry up and get moving." said Viper. "I will keep you posted with what the Stardust finds when she gets there."

"Right" said IceMan. "We are on our way". Viper gave him a nod and closed the transmission.

Admiral IceManHG reached for his communicator and activated it.
"This is the officer of the watch" responded the officer on the other end of the line.

"This is the Admiral, I just sent your helmsman coordinates to a distress call. Set course at maximum warp and wake Captain Davenport."

"Uh...yes sir...right away Sir."

The USS San Diego's warp engines engaged and propelled the ship to warp 9.9 toward Tholian space.

Costello, was sent cascading across the side of the bridge with that impact. Lying breathlessly askew, he glanced the dead Captain Devoro. In a reflex of his dominating stature, Costello bellowed to his helmsman.

"Helm, reinforce aft shielding and prepare to come about!"

There was a silence that penetrated the bridge only for a few seconds, until the chaotic whirring and fizzing of damaged subsystems became the replacement background sounds. It was not a pleasant audio nor olfactory sensation, but Costello righted himself with the vigour he would expect of himself. After newly reaching the rank of Starfleet Vice Admiral his role in overseeing this mission was a fortunate affair as who else would be fit for command with the first officer lying in the medical bay at present.

"Blast that Norexan class and it's sensor capabilities".

"Sir! Aft shields down to 58%".

Costello wore an expression of anxiety, yet a remarkable composure of whimsical appearance. It was the Romulans, again. But interplanetary politics aside, more accurately Reman insurgents using Norexan class vessels. The USS Relentless was tasked with defended the colony at Zhuridan IV, successful though they were - this ambush from the Reman insurgents had susprised the Sovereign-class battleship. She indeed took a pounding, and this was a reminder wherever Costelo gazed on the bridge. It seemed to be like there was more medical teams than stations.

"Aft photon spread on my mark, the last of the reserves I know they may be - damn refitting team... target all warheads onto the following coordinates".

Costello inputted the location of the lead Norexan's sensor array, as he sent them via his chair to Tactical - he took delight in hearing the lead Norexan class had ceased fire.

"Excellent, now helm using your best discretion keep them off our dorsal, fifty degree axis rotation when coming about, prepare for a full Quantum torpedo spread on the closest Norexan... finishing with a ventral sweep"

"Aye sir"

Moments later, after the result of surprising alacrity from the Sovereign class and various shakes and bruises to the hull, the second Norexan appeared to be damaged beyond repair.

"Sir, in our pass we managed to keep them off our dorsal but they alll coordinated their fire at our forward arc and as such forward shields are down to 11%. We have destroyed the warp core with our attack however"

As the Relentless with grace and unyielding supremacy glanced over the second Norexan, a shower of ventral Phaser banks smashed into the damaged warp core. Shortly after, a shimmering light on the viewscreen confirmed the destruction of the second Norexan.

"Two down, one to go - oh you have to be kidding me..."

The third Norexan jumped to warp before the Relentless broadsided her. During the time the short battle had elapsed, the Captain had been taken down to sickbay along with all other injured officers.

"Lieutenant Commander, for now you have the bridge. Restore the forward shields as best you can"

"Good work gentlemen, Travis prepare a boarding party for the first Norexan. I want answers. You will find me in sickbay with the Captain and the injured, hopefully his death was not in vain."

Costello with an air of triumph yet remorse marched towards the turbolift.

"My God," Was all that Captain Varin could manage to say when he saw the remains of the USS Melbourne.
"Get a sensor sweep of the ship, now, and beam up any survivors" Commander Hemming ordered "We need to know what happened to her."

The USS Melbourne had a gaping hole along her port side and was missing a nacelle and had multiple hull fractures to boot. The crew stood in stunned silence fo a moment with only the sound of consoles dutifully working in the background.
"Ensign, go talk to the survivors and find out what happened, everyone report in one hour." Captin Varin Ordered

***One hour Later***

Then Captain Varin turned to Commander Hemming and said "You have the bridge. I have to contact Starfleet."
"Yes, sir," Commander Hemming replied

Captain Varin entered his ready room aboard the USS Stardust. I was a rather large ready room, coinsidering the ones on Soverign class vessels were twice as small. He sat down and activated the console on his desk and recorded his report on the senario.

This is the USS Stardust to Starfleet Command. Whatever attacked the Melbourne really gave them hell. The worst part is it didn't stop with the ship itself, it, whatever it is, also boarded the sip and killed most fo the crew who didn't die in the intial attack in the ship. Scans of the ship show an unknown type of radiation on board and in the Immediate area. We still haven't been able to figure out what it was that attacked the Melbourne, but what ever it is, it is more than a match for my little Intrepid Class ship, I just wished to express my concern for the safety of my crew and ship. Encloesed in this communique is all of the data we've gathered so far.

The U.S.S Zell had just left Deep Space 9 and had set course to the Sol System for crew rotation and some well deserved shoreleave. The Zell was a Nebula class vessel that had seen its fill of action. The ship had been part of Starfleet Battle Group Omega which was deployed to sector 1045 near the Bassen Rift to counter a pending Reman Incursion.

Fleet Captain Bailo walked into his ready room after ordering his helm officer to warp 6 as soon as possible. The Fleet Captain was looking forward to seeing his family again and being able to take a walk around the countryside of Britain once again. He sat down and was about to tap his computer panel to make a log entry when the comm went off.

"Sorry to disturb you sir" said the voice of his first officer ,Commander Dabson.
"Yes Commander?" Said Bailo, Tapping his comm badge.
"We're receiving orders from Starfleet that a fleet wide yellow alert has been put into effect while they investigate, well to put it in their words "A Mystery" sir."
"No details at all?" Bailo asked curiously
"No sir. Just "A Mystery""
"Put the ship to Yellow Alert and set a course back towards Deep Space 9"
"Aye Sir."
Bailo thought this was probably the best course of action due to the fact little was known about the situation. Besides, he thought, Its the closest i'm going to get to shoreleave for the moment.

The Nebula class pulled a 180 degree turn and its warp nacelles flashed brightly as the ship was propelled back towards Deep Space 9.

Actually , blue alert is called for in exceptional situations, ranging from environmental hazards to the crew, to docking and separation maneuvers and landing protocols, for ships with the capability , it is not limited to ships but also are on bases/outpost, Code blue is actually NOT required while landing on a planet, Voyager once landed while on red alert on the demon planet, and the Enterprise crached on a planet while on red alert

Blue Alert is also used by the promethius when it does its seperation sequence, it was also used by the Enterprise D, though i can't remeber the reason, if it was for the saucer seperation or an unrelated situation, my point is, there is multi reasons for Blue alert, not just landing :D

just though i could clear that up :)

Captain Varin this is Commander Magnus. Do you require any assistance. Your message was garbolled and not clear. Starfleet wants me to assist you in the investigation. I am proceeding with my shuttle launchs to raise a higher E-ban sweep which we can both use our sensors with a higher ratio of investigating this area. While in the Badlands, Makat plotted his next move. "The USS Intrepid is currently en route to our little 'incident'. We shall intercept them, and stop them." Of course, Makat's stolen Dominion Battlecrusier would easily overpower the intrepid. He had "acquired" it from a trader, who said it was one of the ones that had not been decommissioned. He returned with it to a distant Cardassian outpost, and filled it with a crew of his former cronies from the Obsidian Order.

Bailo
10-30-2008, 05:22 PM
Fleet Captain Bailo was annoyed. Not only had Starfleet not made him privy to the current goings on in the Federation, he had now been given orders to patrol the Badlands to keep an eye out for the Maquis. On top of this was the fact that he was a mere 5 minutes from Deep Space 9 and was already engaging in docking procedures. He couldn't make heads or tails of what Starfleet was doing? Did they know the Maquis were behind something? Were they making guesses as to who it was? Bailo slammed his fist down on the arm of his chair. This movement caused half of the bridge staff to look at him. He ignored it and carried on browsing through the latest Starfleet Tactical Communique. Everything looked routine and standard. Until he noticed 2 ships near Tholian Space and 2 more ships all heading towards Tholian Space. He quickly saw that they would intercept in the same place as the 2 stationary ships. Now he had a good idea of where the incident was if only he knew what was going on. He hated being in the dark about these matters.

"Sir, we are approaching the Badlands" announced the helm officer nervously.
"Slow us to half impulse and begin a standard patrol pattern of the border"
"Aye Sir"

Bailo sat back in his chair for what could be a very long patrol. He glanced at the PADD again to look for anything else of interest.

"Sir i'm picking up something in the Badlands sir, just on the edge of sensor range" said the Science officer nervously to his left.
"I'm going to need more than that Ensign"
"I don't know sir. Its a Metallic object sir. Its huge"
"Inform Starfleet of our situation, also inform them we are going to investigate and that they should alert nearby ships that we may need backup." The Fleet Captain glanced over at his first officer who gave him an inquisitive look. He felt he should explain what he was doing. "We don't know whats going on Commander. We are at yellow alert somethings going on. We have to be careful."
"Agreed sir"
"Helm, set an intercept course avoiding the plasma storms as best you can. Tactical Alert, Shields up on Low Power mode. Initiate Silent Running status." He listened and heard buttons being pushed all over the bridge. The lights went out and the emergency lighting came on Bailo yanked on his uniform, removing the creases.
"Engage"

Ive heard alot about you and your amazing ship Commander Magnis. Id be happy to take you on a tour. Right this way. So commander Magnis ive heard some interesting rumors aout this ship. Is it true you took on 5 galor class ships with minimum damage to ya ship. Well captain i dont like to boast but the Majestic is just that. A fine exceptional ship with an exceptional crew and yes she did take on 5 galor class ships in one engagement and stood toe to toe with a jymhadare battle crusier. We took some licks on that one but with the new experimental technologies it made it alot easier to deal a heavy blow. I think having 20 torpedoes coming at an enemy ship all at once would bring great pause. Is it true you had a hand in the design. Yes Captain varin. I was amazed I was given its command at my current rank but sometimes the federation needs us for service to reward. "1 hour" Well commander this is one fine ship and one fine crew you have. Lets eat then. that tour was a bit of a work out. I agree commander. Right this way. "PCHHHHHH" Red Alert, Bridge. whats going on. Shockwaves commander out of this radiation. When the shuttles tried to dissapate it some chemical reaction started which has made this mist into a starting of a nebula. HMMM im on my way. Captin y our welcome to join indeed I will commander. As i run to the nearest turbo lift Captain varin tells his first officer to head back and standby. Both ships are caught in this wake. "Bridge" shhhh What do you think is going on commander. I think we started something that was meant to happen. just not at this moment. Shhhh Report. Sir shockwaves have intensified by .65% every minute. sheild are at 85% and droping. Number 2 Modulate the sheilds on the e-ban frequency and have the shuttles form up in a 360 variation to sheild us from the wakes. Captin would be good to add your sheild strength to the bubble. hmmm using both ships sheild you add more coverage to the feild widening its area affect. gensious commander Magnis. Yes, thats if it works. Number 2 implement it. opps keep those scans up. I have a distinct feeling we are not alone and this wake isnt by sheer chance. scanning sir. getting nothing. Hmmmm drop a pin in the water Lt. lets see how the pawn ripples. Aye sir pen drop engage. Pin drop Commander Magnis. What that Captin Varin asked. Oh a new hyper sonic wave using the e-ban frequency module on the top of the ship which sends out a 4 dimensional wave to detect anything with a mass. it disrups the engine coils warp nacels and any form of plasma flow for a breif time to give off a ripple affect. makes a ships engines go crazy for a brief time period but we detect the enemy and well fire on that point of detection. Pen drop ready sir. Very well. Engage. As the majestic own wake is disspered it passed the Stardust with ease as that ship is federation and is immune to the affects due to regulations of such device. The wake the Majestic makes also neutralizes a on comming shockwave and normal space is starting to re-appear. Hmmm yup just as i suspected. These shock waves are not natural. Look there is a trail. hmmm Intensify the next drop by 2.5 variants. Aye sir. Engage again Lt. Firing sir. the wave bubble comes from the Majestic again. DA DA DAAAAAAA. To be continued.

We've been having discussions over at the [UFP] internal forums and we've decided to start the role play off anew, forgetting the old storyline we were working on.

I am the helm officer of the USS Rio Grande, a Galaxy Class starship, under the command of Captain Bailo. As I walked from my quarters to the bridge, the ship suddenly dropped out of warp. I was anxious, because I knew we were supposed to be traveling at Warp 6 for at least the first two hours of my shift. Then, alarms, and Red Alert. I started running towards the turbolift to the bridge. As I got in the turbolift and the doors closed, weapons impacted our ship somewhere near the aft. As I reached the bridge, I noticed I was the first one for the day shift. I called all senior officers to the bridge, and took the helm as Captain Bailo walked out of the turbolift.

Bailo
11-22-2008, 11:00 AM
"Report Commander" Captain Bailo said as he took his seat.
The ship shook with another impact of weapons.
"Romulan Warbird 20 thousand kiliometers of the port bow Sir. They just decloaked and started firing sir"
"Helm, Evasive Maneuvers. Return Fire!"
Captain Bailo watched as a volley of Photon Torpedos impacted the Romulan Ship
"Their shields are down to 90% sir"
The ship shook again.
"Sir the forward shields are down to 12%" Said the Ensign on tactical/
"Helm Come about 195 point 62. Where the hell is the rest of my bridge crew!"

htdefiant
11-22-2008, 11:45 AM
"Aye sir, coming about. All senior officers, report to the bridge immediately!"
As I turned the ship around, I watched as we moved through phaser arcs and fired aft torpedoes.
"Captain, our star impulse engine has been hit, it's down to 60% power."

Bailo
11-24-2008, 04:56 AM
"Re-route power from all non-essential systems to the shields and to the impulse engines"
The op's panel explodes in a shower of sparks with another impact from the warbird. The officer is thrown into the air and lands a couple of meters away. He appears to be ok as he gets back to his panel.
"Hail the ship. and repeat on all frequencies. Have we recieved any reply from Starfleet?" Yelled Captain Bailo over the sound of the klaxon.

Red Alert! But the captain sits motionless on his bridge staring at the viewscreen into an obsidian sky, remembering his days at the academy.
"Klingon ship decloaking off our starboard side, sir", the captain barely acknowledges it, he knows that this is it, this is where he becomes the man his father wanted him to be. "HARD TO PORT, prepare rear torpedoes, full spread, Mr. Blaney", "aye sir" replies the young lieutenant.

A relaxed atmosphere with a general common sense mentality helps us balance the military oriented duties I’ve mentioned, [UFP] was built by people who in the very beginning wanted to do one thing above all else and that is to have fun, its our core motive, its what drives us to game and keep on gaming and its what your looking for in a clan most of all, Right? there is no way anyone would sign upto a community if they didn't think they where at least going to enjoy it!

Relaxed atmosphere
Active trek ONLY gaming community
Active trek discussion forum
Constant Chain of Command that fills the role of career simulation

There alot more that deserves a mention that can be found here - www.ufpfleet.org

There is so much to [UFP] that has been refined over the years and our members input constantly changes [UFP] and this has enabled us to make [UFP] better not only for us but anyone.

EVOXSNES

A run down on the least you can expect when you take your oath and your career begins.

The United Federation of Planets, A star trek gaming clan, is more than just any ordinary faction within the star trek gaming universe, the [UFP] has become one of the oldest and well governed gaming clans today and as a result our stability is unmatched. Whilst [UFP] very operation is centred around a semi-military doctrine, our commitments to our environment and operation, whilst semi-military is also one of enthusiasm, “can do” attitude, mate-ship… its something that we have and will continue to maintain to not only provide civil conduct but to provide all of our members with a stable and pleasant atmosphere in which every trek gamer and fan can flourish in.

An Academy with dedicated personnel that have refined a curriculum to not only help you understand the [UFP] and how we operate but to also hasten your advancement through the ranks, this ensures that your future Captains chair will not remain empty for long.

From the Academy you will be awarded various academic achievement awards and from there you will be afforded special privileges and be able to participate in certain events that will ensure your time spent in the lower ranks be short lived.

Once you have gained prestige and your name has raised a few eyebrows throughout the federation you can take your career in [UFP] down the path of Operations or Command

Operations deal with the internal workings of [UFP] from Engineering, Diplomacy, Department of Records all the way upto a Seat on the Council, where you and fellow council members will be responsible for governing [UFP]

A Command career path can take you from Squad Command all the way upto Fleet Admiral who in [UFP] is the most powerful single officer in command at any one time; It has been said that from the captains chair this is the next command our Captains aspire for but there can only be one Fleet Admiral.

These are the two most important choices to be sure but they aren’t static infact they are very dynamic, you can choose to focus all of your energy into Operations or swap half way, or you can easily have a position in Operations and a position in Command, its entirely upto you!

And of course in the midst of your career either in Operations or Command you will have to be on guard and ready to protect the federation on various gaming platforms and in many theatres of conflict to ensure a happy and safe environment for all trek gamers, domestic, allied and foreign.

And of course when war breaks out and regions experience instability, at the Fleet Admirals whim it will be your duty to either hold the line or charge into battle, training and expert tuition from our veterans within the First Fleet will be a priceless asset no matter what role you fill in any conflict in the name of [UFP] and inter-clan peace.

A true Federation experiance begins here with the [UFP] www.ufpfleet.org, with everything you'd expect from a Federation clan faction and more. A stable yet relaxed command structure that has been developed over the years serves us well; Can you imagine taking command of a Squadron of 6 or more people to lead them into battle, to decide tactics and to really affect change on the battlefield?

Can you imagine the challenges you'd face, command decision making in real time that should you fail, the consequences could be devastating. This is what to be in command is, the responsibility is forever lavish but the rewards when you succeed are priceless.

Do you have what it takes to truly command, to lead and to innovate, can you prove to us and yourself that your ready for that Captains chair?

From here that chair seems pretty big, but as soon as you signup (http://www.ufpfleet.org/WebSite/index.php?page=enlist) it will get a whole lot bigger.

We'll all get a chance to sit in that chair but as Captain John Harriman (http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/John_Harriman) found out, there are no second chances.

The United Federation Of Planets
www.ufpfleet.org

Greetings,

I am LT Silverado posting on behalf of the largest, purest Trek fleet in existence: The [UFP]. I've risen to this rank from the starting position of Cadet, One great reason to join UFP off the batt is we all have a chance to be fleet admiral one day. I am extremely proud to represent it.

- Background -

The [UFP] was formed from the merger of two great fleets, Federation Command [FC] and the Federation [FEDS].

Our fleet's mandate, if I quote our website, is to adhere to the "...precepts of fair game play and equal opportunity...". Every prospective officer has the opportunity to reach their potential, to learn new skills and to form friendships that may even reach beyond the internet.

- Gaming -

[UFP] prides itself on supporting strictly Star Trek gaming, currently we support these titles with an active fleet structure.

Star Trek: Bridge Commander (With the Kobayashi Maru 1.0 modification)
Star Trek: Armada II (Stock or 1.2.5 for Vista users)
Star Trek: Starfleet Command III (534b)
Star Trek Legacy (PC & Xbox 360)
Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force I & II
Star Trek DAC
Star Trek Online (planning stages presently)

[UFP] runs frequent competitions and tournaments, staying active within the Trek community, with a reputation for being professional, adept Star Trek gamers. But most of all, in [UFP], there is fun to be had.

- The Fleet -

[UFP] is governed by the Council of Admirals, with between them almost thirty years of experience in the Star Trek community, veterans with the experience to keep [UFP] running smoothly. The officer corps of the fleet are some of the most interesting and friendly people you will ever encounter, with a real passion for Trek gaming.

Starfleet is comprised of three fleets, each with their own squadrons for their corresponding games.

Operations, are the departments of the fleet. If IP technologies are your fancy, Security is for you. If you cannot go a day without firing up Photoshop, Engineering is always on the look out for talent. If you want to be a part of shaping future officers, then the Academy might just be your ideal duty.

Whatever your passion, [UFP] can accommodate it. If all you want is to relax with a genuine, friendly bunch of folks. Then we aim to please.

- Communications -

[UFP]'s forums are friendly, lively and full of likeminded people. All are welcome be it for foreign relations, to sign up or just for a social call. Click here to see more.

[UFP] also operates a Ventrilo server, why not stop by?

Host: vent3.light-speed.com
Port: 8433

- Closing -

If you're more of a multimedia person, the video below should wet your appetite. More to come in the future!

Then Click Here

[UFP] continues to stand as an example of how a structured fleet with an engaging community, can thrive in a trying time for Star Trek gaming.

But don't just take my word for it...

"The premier Star Trek Gaming clan"
Lieutenant Commander Digi, 10+ years in the community.

"It's the best I've ever seen since I joined a Trek clan, I'm proud to serve with [UFP]"
Fleet Captain Pixy, ex-FE, UFDF

"[UFP] is a fun place to be to socialise and meet new people from a variety of different backgrounds."
Operations Rear Admiral McManus, 8+ years in the community

If you want a Star Trek clan that will deliver, in every aspect, that will further your skills and enjoyment in

the Star Trek community - then look no further.

Respectfully,
LT Silverado

Your website is top notch. I am really impressed by it. I was hoping one of the UFP recruiting officers can enlighten me a little more about your plans for STO. I can see that you have a very well structured guild and am interested in learning a little more.

I just don't have the time to browse through 190+ pages on this forum, and the STO info on your website is vague. Understandable because the game isn't out yet, however I want to make the recruiters work a little.

Cheers,
NotSoMuch
