The Gemini Fleet (http://geminifleetcommand.com) is a Star Trek based role-playing clan that is has been preparing for the release of Star Trek: Online since August of 2006.
The Gemini Fleet, first and foremost is about role-playing in the Star Trek universe. It has been designed as such to create the best atmosphere for this. The forums support many different types of role-playing experiences, from the holodeck to Kahlor's bar to ship missions. And, eventually we will of course move our RP to STO!
Admiral Daniel Morgan started this fleet in August of 2006 with two goals in mind: To create a fleet with a fun and open structure, yet at the same time create a fleet that followed the rules of Starfleet. Even though the fleet has changed in many ways, from the addition of the Academy, to the creation of more ships, to a newsletter, it has still managed to maintain those goals that he set out to achieve.

As Gemini Fleet's Intelligence Officer i can say the fleet is very active in roleplaying and we will be a force to be recognised and respected when STO is live, that being said Admiral Tryjo is a more than capable leader and i would happily follow any orders he may issue in the field.

Doing fine and loving the discusions on this site. Oh yea, everyone needs to come by Gemini Fleet for a great time. We have been in existance for over two years. We have mannaged to keep interest of our members even when it looked like this game wasn't going to make it. We have a solid core of members, so come by and join the best fleet in ST-O.

When I joined Gemini Fleet, I had watched just a few episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation, and I thought Klingons were the guys with pointy ears. Today, I have watched nineteen seasons of various Star Trek series and three TNG movies, and I've taken part in conversations in tlhIngan Hol on these boards.
How's that for keeping me interested in Star Trek? :D

We have a dayly trivia contest, and much more. We are always open to suggestions and we are always adding content to our site, so come by and check us out.

Greetings, peace, and long life. My name is Sulem, hailing from Vulcan, and I will soon be graduating from the Academy. My studies have principally focused on navigation (emphasis in astrogation plotting), my intent to join a starship as a helmsman. I invite you to access my academy scores and records. You will find my navigation scores were more than proficient, as I was ranked in the top 0.018% of my graduating class. You will also find that I have taken part in - and excelled in - athletics as well as academics. Following graduation, I shall be returning briefly to Vulcan to get my affairs in order. Then, it is my intention to embark on my Starfleet career with all due speed. After a lengthy search of the registry, I must confess that Gemini Fleet has piqued my curiosity and my interest.
As a whole, Vulcans have developed a reputation over the decades as aloof and haughty. Perhaps that reputation is somewhat deserved, but I would hasten to point out that while I am in many ways a typical Vulcan, there are a few traits (which I do not often speak of and will not delve into here) which set me slightly apart from my people and will help me to better integrate with a diversifed Starfleet crew.
Please review my academy records and advise if Gemini Fleet will have any helmsman positions opening in the weeks and months ahead that you believe I would be a good candidate for. Just want to let you all know that the Academy will soon have 23 new courses available to Cadets, which I believe means we now have 87 in total. So, if you're the type of Trekkie who just loves to bury yourself in information, you may want to check Gemini Fleet out.
Who knows: Maybe you'll find yourself applying for a position in the Academy, one day?

Catchy Title Name ! ! ! If I can't get my own team on somehow, then I would consider joining your's. It is great to see hardcore fans that know how to play and all about Star Trek World , that are so friendly and open. You seem to be unlike others that are so bent on winning. I am just here to have fun, most of all. I am here just to play the game !
I have been reading things on websites, specially about my character's name. My imagination has been coming up with wild stories on the background of my character ever since I have enterd into this world of Star Trek Online. It just flowed out of me as I was mtyping on the forums and such. I will also like to play with other cool groups who are on the side of good and the Federation !

I am glad there is agroup that is very tolerant and welcoming to newbies who might not be such perfect players and winners every time they paly. I migh not be m a hardcore fan and know all that there is to know about Star Trek, but I am still a fan nonetheless ! ! !

I hope time zones allow me to play with the cool groups I want to play with as well as they let me do so. I hope I get to join the groups I want to on missions off worlds and figh on them and on their ships or with their ships along side them.
I would like to join a Fleet with n a woman captain or admiral, but I might just join on with a male counterpart .I am not sure as of yet. It was said on here that we should sign up right away on Gemini, so as to be ready for when the STO goes live, was I think I will do just that.
I will check out what this site is all about ! ! !;)I hope I can serve. I would like to make admiral some day soon.

Just an update Gemini Fleet is still recruiting!
I might add that Gemini Fleet is currently undergoing some heavy and great changes as the entire setup and structure of the Fleet will be improved the coming weeks. There will be room for more members as well as key positions to the Fleet. We will be focusing more on being a 'clan' and 'Fleet' feeling.
One of the other changes will feature an entirely new Academy that runs more seperatly from the Fleet itself, with an all new digital environment for cadets to stay in. Our own Gemini Fleet Wiki (http://www.geminifleetcommand.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page) will be expanded and our Academy students will be able to make full use of the clever Wiki website. The Academy will play a bigger role as it is the foundation of the entire Fleet. These changes are pretty big, so watch the site closely for any updates.
Any questions, we'll be happy to answer them here as well of course.
With the coming changes, there needed to be a revision in the command structure of the Fleet.

It is good to know that we are appreciated throughout the galaxy by many species including the Tellarites. On behalf of Gemini Fleet I would like to point out that we make no distinct between species, as every species has its right to live and be well. Therefore, it is an honor to establish a relation with your Fleet. I could send someone of our Foreign & Domestic Policy division to propose a treaty of any kind towards your Fleet, or you could visit our website and request an Embassy there, so we can initiate a possible treaty. I could recommend doing the latter either way, since a specially created thread will be opened on the forums so our two Fleets could meet up together.

Gemini Fleet is a family friendly community that is very excited about Star Trek Online. Although we started off as a role play community dedicated to ST:O, we have also branched out into different areas.
If you are not into RP, that's okay, many of our members are not. We also have members who are into Eve Online, OGame, Star Wars Galaxies, and many other games. We have members in age from fifteen years old to fifty, and from nearly every corner of the world.

It's been some time since I have visited this thread, but I feel the need to do so since the Gemini Fleet is going through a metamorphosis of sorts. First off, let me introduce myself as my Executive Officer did in the preceding post. My name is Tryjo, and I am the Leader of Gemini Fleet. I assumed command of the Fleet several years ago when Admiral Morgan announced his retirement...basically I took over the hosting of the site. I have tried to maintain the original vision of the Gemini Fleet as started under Admiral Morgan, but recently it was brought to my attention that to remain viable in the community as a whole, it might be wise to deviate from our founder's plan.
The Gemini Fleet is no longer solely a STO RP Fleet. We have begun to mold ourselves to encompass a wide array of interest types to bring an appeal to a wider audience base. Not everyone likes to participate in RP; that is no longer a problem. Not everyone will be playing STO (a horrid thought); that is no longer a problem. All in all, we want to bring to the Star Trek Community a site than is fun and enjoyable on a broader spectrum. For the Star Trek Universe is so massively expansive, shouldn't this be the obvious thing to do anyway?
The overall look of the site is still generally the same, but we are working hard behind the scenes to develop a new user interface that is not only easy to use but appealing to the eyes as well. We will be implementing new content to the site to make administration easier for those who serve in administrative positions. We are currently revamping our Academy and installing a new application to provide our Cadets the best possible experience and training as possible. All in all, there is still a lot of work to be done. But, are truly great projects ever really completed?
How can I help out you might ask? Well, it is true that the Gemini Fleet needs you! There are positions always available within the Fleet, and I am sure we can find something for everyone depending on your desires and skills. We have been around since '06 and still consider ourselves a viable part of this community, but we are only as good as our membership allows us to be. I hope to see you somewhere out there, if not at the Gemini Fleet first!

The Gemini Fleet is looking for programmers and graphic designers to help in a refit that we are about to undertake. We will be shutting down the site for a complete overhaul that is befitting a Star Trek website. We have temporarily joined forces with Lotus Fleet while our site is down to keep activity levels up. I would like to thank Admiral Nova and his command staff for allowing us to do this.
However, the Gemini Fleet is in need of programmers and graphic designers to help in this rebuilding process. There will be staff positions available for you within the Fleet if you choose to join. Over the past couple of months the halls of the Starbase Argolis were silent. Starfleet policy meant that the continued operation of the station was no longer necessary and so the station was a shadow of its former glory. It had once been a hub of Federation activity in and around the Argolis Cluster close to the Cardassian border, where by Officers serving under its command once fought against a deadly Nausicaan terrorist group, and defeated their masters, the mysterious Ortani. Beyond the safety of the station, the field officers discovered the strange Ringworld, rescued hostages from a cult of Pah Wraith worshippers, investigates strange spacial anomalies and even fought a deadly battle with soldiers from another time. But those achievements and advancements were overlooked as Starfleet turned its gaze elsewhere.
Even now, hope remains as those who had made the Argolis home continue to fight for it and sought its return to its former glory, and become the proud home of the Gemini Fleet once again. In October 2009 the Gemini Fleet will return be sure to visit us again.
