I think I see what you mean... Especially in the third picture. It seems like they're quite possibly using the same sort of graphics engine, but without the thick black "comic shading" lines.

Most of all, I'm just happy they're keeping the planetary exploration intact from the looks of it. I think a number of people seemed to be expecting them to just axe it and leave it all as an out of scale space exploration sim. :P

Of course, now we need to see some good character footage. o.o

Those are some weird ship designs i saw though.

I don't know if those are ships. To be honest, they look like planetary shield emitters. There are many of them that surround the planet in a pattern that makes me think of that.

The caption on the screenshot just says "Alien Orbital Platform" so that could be any number of things. Orbital mining facilities, shield emitters, space station, etc.

I love the style they're using. Everything just looks amazing. I cannot wait until the 10th to see some gameplay footage.
