The Federation have the Vulcans & Betazoids...
Now this unlocks alot of content for the feds yet restricts the klingons, I can see only one other telepathic race that would serve in the KDF and that is "Lethians"

I think the Lethians would make a great addition to the Klingon Defence Force...

Telepaths are more for diplomatic purposes and find a nice way out. Unless telepaths can blow up peoples brain, what good would they be for the war-like Klingon?

Lol! in the path articles, they did hint that the Gorn were planning on hiring them to help against the klingons....it wouldnt be impossible, and their "Psychic head-lightning (i just dont see how telepathy would be visible, much less in the form of electricity, but maybe that's just me.:p)" thing they've got going is pretty cool. I wouldn't mind having one as a bridge officer.:)

Well ofcurse they would be the Klingons servants like the Orion, Nausican, & Gorn... But a telepathic race will help even out the sides in terms of content, Ie picking up a trelepathic signal or a way to estract information for the klingons use...

Yeah, telepaths for klingons would be a great idea :S

lol. isn't Lethian telepathy "Active Telepathy", like the Vulcans, and not "Passive Telepathy" like Betazoids?

Yeah they have to make physical contact, but it has the added perk of being usualy fatal :)
And that makes it even more Klingon!

Ooo! look at that! sorry, not too familiar with the star trek races, and I did not read the link from the OP. My apologies. They look like assasins. Ok, I take it all back, give Klingon some telepaths :P

I'm not totally sure I understand why its so important for Klingons to have a telepath race for "gameplay" balance. I really don't believe that they are going to add a blatently unbalanced power to the federation that would require the klingons to have the same. And for some reason it sounds like something the klingons would look down upon personally.

I very much doubt the Klingons would want a telepathic race in their ships. A Klingon would not want someone around who could read his mind. Nor would he feel the need for a mind reader. And the Lethean? They are honorless mercenaries! While some Klingons might hire one for a one-time task, no true son of the Empire would ever consort with them over a longer period of time.
Telepaths in the Klingon Empire? I think they would find themselves frowned upon, even despised, by all true and proper Klingons. No, there are -no- need for telepaths among Klingons.

The Klingons have no use for Telepaths, a real Klingon will charge into battle, they do not care fot the finer points of diplomacy or the truth. For a warrior, the only truth that matters is ones honour and blade!

Yeah, I doubt Klingons would use telepaths either.
They got some pretty nasty allies (the Gorn, the Orions, and the Nausicaans).

Yeah but the Lethians jsut fit in witht he style IMO...
I mean I cant be the only person who thinsk Lethians would be a cool race to have as a BO or Captain...

If I had a choice between a telepathic Lethian and a tribble on my bridge, I would choose the tribble. I would be highly likely to be hostile against a race such as the Lethians.
Their values are not compatible with the warrior ethos and cultural values of the Klingons. To put it bluntly, they barter their abilities for mere coin. Much like Ferengies. The Klingons value cause and ideals, personal honor.
I will be honest. I do see how Lethians would be "cool" and "awesome", but they just don't fit into the Klingon society. In my opinion it just wouldn't work lore-wise.

It is unlikely the Empire would allow for the free existence of any telepathic race within its borders. It's too dangerous.
In the Ford/FASA fanon, the Klingons have committed genocide against telepathic species (the Jaak) and engage in the practice of "tharavul", performing brain surgery on Vulcans who wish to study them in order to make them telepathically "blind."
I would never allow a telepath within 3 ships lengths of me...
