Klingom Ships

Are there going to be more designs for Klingon, Orion ships or are we only going to have the 2 or 3 that are on the chart now?

all in all im very disapointed to see only 1 new design. Basicly klingons have 6 different "looking ships" i can only hope that configurations will look different enough to be unique. Also with Klingons being strictly PVP oriented (for leveling) it seems federation will be more interesting to play while klingons will be nice for letting of steam i guess

There hasn't been any news what so ever about if there are going to be Gorn, Nausicaan, or Orion ships in the Klingon faction (actual ships or skined/kitbashed version of the Klingon ships). there has been a screenie of a Gorn ship, but no idea if it is a Pc or NPC ship or not.:(

Also, one of the ask cryptics or interviews said Klingon ships would have customization/differentiation from the Gorn/Orion/Naaussicans.

In the interview that list was given in, they said there where 16 or so federation ships, and 13 Klingon ships.

So i assume that for every ship, there will be 3 actural ships

sooo, Tier 1 Federation is: Constitution, Excalibur, Vesper

and i would then assume Tier 1 BOP is:BOP, BOP Variant 1 and BOP Variat 2.

If the klingons ships follow that route, there will be 39 different distinct klingon faction ships, to the 48 distinct federation ships. (Although, on the current list there is only 39 Fed ships, and theres emant to be a few less klingon ships, so maybe either my maths, or Cryptics maths is broken somewhere)

I wouldnt worry about lack of designs for kklingons, they have a lot of ships to show yet :P

That just made my day that they have the classic D-7 Battle-cruiser. The D-7 is the iconic Klingon ship to me, and I can't wait to captain one into GLORIOUS BATTLE!

I dont think its ever been stated as such that there will be the D7.

However, I grant it just makes sence to have the D7/K'Tinga/later refit in there. there'd be a huge uproar if it isnt in the game (probaly more of an upproar than the fed ships that arent APPARENTLY on the list)

Well, what else is going to be more powerful? The feature on it says it is just coming into service as the game begins, so I would figure that the Vo'Quv is the top of the line for Klingon players (at least for the foreseeable future).

It was said that the Klingons only have 1 carrier, and the way Klingon Ship Progression goes, it pretty much has to be top tier. Especially when it was said that Klingons have more final tier ships than the federation. and seeming Klingons have 4 ship types, you can deduce the VoQuv is final :)

Yeah I would love to command a 100 year old D-7 and strike fear into the heart of a Sovereign class captain.

Like that one episode of TNG where they went to intercept an 80 year old K'Tinga and were scared to death of it.

What possible threat is an 80 year old K'Tinga to a Galaxy class? I never got that.

It wasn't JUST the ship they were worried about, you have to remember the Klingons who were in stasis on that ship were blood thirsty and they all hated the Federation.

Although I think it would be in poor judgement to not appeal to the Klingon gamers, we do make up a decent percentage and either way whatever we are given we will make do and instill terror in the hearts of the Federation Captains we encounter.

Personally I think I will have a fed toon and a Klingon toon. SO that I can mess around with both faction's ships

Uh-huh. Whatever happened to the days when Klingons were honourable, and actually put in some thought before pointing and shooting?
