if you made them sign it before getting into the forum, it would be a good way to weed out the ones who can't be trusted with the client. ie. leaking videos etc.

That's not much of a barrier, since they can just make the NDA a prerequisite to entering the beta forums.

That said, I don't think it's really a good idea, since I assume all the discussion on the beta forum is in the context of actually discussing the game, and, well, we won't have much to add until we're in.

I agree. With all the whining we're seeing on the open forums, allowing people not in beta to access the beta forums would be like pouring gasoline on an open flame. Or in some cases salt in an open wound.

I would think it should be possible for the 6 month and lifetimers to get access to the beta forums since we will be there in time. It sure would help pass the time while waiting to get accepted.
