The Gorn

The Gorn being a slave race to the Klingons opens up some cool mission possibilties. Imagine,if you will, A mission where there are some Gorn involved in a rebellion against the Klingons and you,as a Federation Captain need to smuggle supplies or even Federation agents thru Klingon space to aid in the rebellion. The same goes for the Nausicaans. Another cool idea would be as a Klingon captain,you need to uncover the smuggling operation. This not only would work for PvE but would make for some awesome PvP encounters.This game is gonna rock,Can't wait .:D

Agreed! Those would be cool mission scenarios.
Everytime i hear about the gorn, I cant help but think about that fight between The Gorn and Captain Kirk.

hmmm, probably both.

Like the real question since gorn and the other races joined the Klingons are there races ships how are they gonna play with klingons and where do they fit with there ships?

In canon there have always been very few Klingon ship designs (and why shouldn't there be? They're conquerers not tinkerers).

What about the idea of having a sparse selection of klingon vessels but brining in Gorn and Orion designs to fill out the roster and give the KDF a full range of ships that way. You could also set things up so Klingon characters begin piloting BoP's, Orions piloting orion vessels and so on. It would be a nice way to show the differences between the two sides.

As an afterthought - if you pick 'Other' as your race you begin in, say, an Orion vessel. That seems logical since none of the other races in the Empire seem likely to give a vessel to someone who hasn't proven himself first.

I would think the Gorn would be "kuve" (servitors) rather than "straave" (slaves.)

But also, there may simply be an alliance (hudna) between the two...

Yea, I just wondering how cryptic is gonna be handling this and the other races that is with the klingon.
Cause we all know the star fleet only use there ships.

Hopefully they Introduce a real race like the Lyrans I loved their Expanding Sphere Generators and Pesudo Fighter Packed Ships and the Idear of being able to create their Cat like race appeals immensly to me. Gorns had their own particular battle tecnology as well cant remember if it was drones or fighters so long since i played Star fleet battles , But it gives me the urge to break out all the Rulebooks again ahhhh Memorys :).

Indeed. Unfortunately Star Trek and SFB diverged canon a long, LONG time ago. For example, I was curiously searching a little while ago for the SFB galactic territory map, since I thought it was funny that the Klingons were attacking the Gorn even though in SFB canon the Klingons and Gorn were fully separated by Federation space. The Gorn and Romulans shared borders, hence the constant battles between those two factions, and their technologies being similar.

While we're at it, bring in the Lyrans, Hydrans, Tholians, the Interstellar Concordium, Kizinti, and the Andromedans while we're at it. You can see quite plainly where Star Trek canon diverged one you look at the weapon issues. Klingons and Romulans shouldn't have photon torpedoes, but they do. The Gorn and Klingons should never be fighting, let alone have Klingon occupation of Gorn space (the Gorn being allies of the Federation and all). The Orions should never be a major faction, but rather an NPC annoyance given their privateering mercenary nature.

But again... things completely diverge, because this isn't the SFB universe. This is the Star Trek universe, and Cryptic has taken quite a bit of liberty with canon at this point.
