New Series, aligned with STO? Series effects STO?

Could you imagine if a new Series aligned it self with STO! And the events in the show had an effect in the STO Universe??? Wish full thinking heheheh.



I just think that there is a huge possibility for a new Star Trek Series to be directly involved with STO. :)

The ship would not even have to be the Enterprise.

It could be any new ship they want to make up. Maybe they could talk Geordi into Commanding his own ship.?? Or maybe one of the Actors from Voyager like Tom Paris. ??


I would like to See Tom Paris as a Captain. Any one else?

What characters would you like to see have there own command in STO? Think of all the drama with Tom Paris and his Klingon Daughter. Lots of story and plot possibilities I think.

I wish they would start a new TV series with the Enterprise E. I think they may just have to find another actor to try to replace Brent Spinner.

Id rather have Riker start a new show with the Titian maybe?? That would be cool too. Voyager and DS9 proved you dont need the ship to be the enterprise to pull off star trek. I think it would be more fun to watch anyway.. I mean look at how many other TV shows could be out there? They could make a whole new show for like 100 different ships. easy. They don't need to continue with the enterprise anymore I dont think.

I'd honestly consider that strong of a tie-in to STO to be a really, really bad move. I've seen what one MMO became, thanks in part to trying to tie into recently released movies. That kind of thing would be a straitjacket for the devs. (Just another reason to be grateful that the recent Star Trek movie is effectively in another timeline now-any further movies won't impact STO one bit.)

All that said, I do think a big draw would be seeing what becomes of the assorted characters in Star Trek. Personally, I want to see Naomi Wildman in command of a ship.

Star Trek needs to re-establish itself as awesome again with a string of good movies in the new timeline before even thinking about another TV show.

yeh, i used to be in the industry, and still have a few friends in it.

there is another trek series planned, and the timing places it during the mmo time frame. the show would not directly tie itself to the mmo, however, there would be tie in events, such as something big that happens in the show, would happen in the sto universe. and of course, the new cast of characters would be npc's in the game.

thats all i heard a year ago, things may have changed.

i actually had a thread on it back then, under my old acct name, but nobody cared.

but whatever. i think in the end, it can only be good. it seems trek is on the rise, and anything that keeps it that way is a good thing.

like i posted above, but reverse what you are thinking. the show would flow onto the sto universe.

That would be a great story, Star trek though rolls on to the next line of people most times. Whole new crew and ship, but this would be a great concept for a show I think.

Tell you what I would like to see is a show that started 3 or 4 before STO and follow the events inside of Starfleet and the normal exploring new planets, people, cultures and get back to basics with the upcoming war looming in the back ground. Season 4 or 5 would be 2409 and the war is on. From there follow the events of the game and integrate into the show So things that we did in the game would have a major effect in the new series and it would give them plenty of time to write it out.
I would love to see my Capt. and crew on the TV even if it just for a brief moment supporting the new crew in some way or the new crew pulling my butt out of the fire.
But that also takes into account naming your ship seriously so we do not see an episode with Capt. Bang Bang and the USS Who'syourdaddy lol.

I do agree with that kinda. but I think if they make it very clear the movies are in different realities from the show people would be satisfied with it.


It just gives the movie makers more freedom in the movies for plot elements. Cuz now since it is a brand new time line anything can happen.. They can keep us in suspense again. It is a whole new game again for Kirk.


I think that was the biggest failure of the last Star trek movies. They lacked true suspense because you knew that everyone was going to make it in the end. There was no true fear of death. I really think they should have killed of the enterprise E in a blaze of glory.. That would have ended the series better. But that is just my opinion.

I think I like that Idea the most! haha Im sure that they would use their discretion when choosing a player's ship in the show. hahah IM sure that the show producers could pick and choose ships they wanted from the STO Universe even use your character in an episode of course with your consent only. hehe.. You would have to sign off on some stuff probly to let them use it. I really still do think that would be a great insentive for some Trek lovers to continue playing STO! They would continue to pay subscriptions for ever! eheheheh heheeheh evil laugh hehehe:D
