Hi guys my name is joe, I've just been promoted to being the new community leader, and we're taking an exciting new direction with the way we run the communty! I know many of you have been dissapointed with the lack of communication and the lack of clarity. Well we have GREAT news!!! We at cryptic want you our loyal fanbase to be clear on this. Most of you are sorry sacks of **** and due to your *****ing and whining we have decided to disown you, we are starting a new secret STO website where only the cool fans are invited, the rest of you can hang around on these forums and ***** and pick your noses. That being said, you are still invited once the game becomes available to spend your money and play the game, but you are barred from ever considering yourself a member of the STO community. Thank you guys for everything, and we wish the best of luck to you!
As a side note looking back on all the forum posts I've read as this game has been developed, never have I seen so many people ***** and complain about every dev post, or gameplay development revealed to us. Thank God this isn't a democracy because the game you fans would create would be the worst ST game made to date, and that's saying a lot as there have been some real **** ones. I can't imagine how hard it must be to have the job of community rep, because in the end there is simply no way of ever making the fan base as a whole happy. I'm so glad that being stuck working long hours and taking care of my family keeps me from ever becoming too big of a critical nerd, because it's the critical nerds who ruin everything, examples Star Trek, Comics, Star Wars... I can't wait for this damn game to come out and I tell you I'm still playing BOTF, so as long as it doesn't crash half as often as my BOTF games, and I can command a ship I'll be a pig in ****. Honestly I think the best thing Cryptic could do to make this game the right way would to be to have a general rule, that 90% of the time you ignore the community. I can't wait for this game to be out and the drama over.... or will it?
