Knowing Cryptic and there ability to put out a decent game, I'm only asking for one major thing to be put into this game....Content!

Please, Cryptic, delay the game or do what you must, but please do not rush to put this out like you did with CO and have such limited content that the replay value is gone, the content is only mission driven which makes for a very linear voyage from 1 to 40 then nothing.

Please get it right this time. Content is the key! Fill the game up and don't launch it with some 4gb download just to add some content on day 1. There is plenty of time left to add content to the game.

Please make this an EPIC enjoyable experience with content worthy of real lifetime subscriptions or 6-month subs.

Content....jam this game full of it, please.

Content should be easy enough to develop for this game. Step one, create a dozen or so systems (with server clustering, like EVE, they could build several hundred). Step two, have at least one if not two habitable planets within each system that has a relatively different species and population. Step three, have every other system's species disagree with the other ones and start wars over whatever disagreements they have.

That's the basic set up, as that'll cause tons of battles, fights, interstellar wars, and interesting plot devices.

Advanced stuff would/could include such things as wormholes (similar to EVE in that they bring the players to a different areas completely that have challenging enemies and rare goodies); fleet owned stations within specified systems; war based invasions from certain species {*Confirmed* with Borg thus far}; and others.

Anyone else chime in as to what kind of "content" could be possible?

I think this is a double edged sword here. Traditional content such as dungeons/NPCs with glowing ! signs and kill X things missions are not something I would like to see in STO. I am really thrilled about the part of discovering the new planets and actually being first to name them, and venturing in the remote systems and discovering new enemies.

If this exploration/new area system is developed right there will be enough content to fill your time.

BreachAndClear: Will there be any missions that come up spontaneously? For instance, will Starfleet or the Klingon High Council contact me with work that needs to be done that is unrelated to missions I actively seek out?

Absolutely. Star Trek mission development is not like a standard MMO. You’re not going to go to a town and see an admiral with an exclamation point over his head, and when you click on him he tells you to go out and kill 10 Klingons and come back. That doesn’t happen in Star Trek.

Star Trek is about exploration. You’ll be going out to space and exploring the galaxy, and you’ll be going to points of interest. You’ll see nebulas, you’ll see ships in distress, you’ll see planets and other anomalies. You’ll uncover missions and mysteries along the way. And yes, Starfleet will contact you as you traverse space.

You’ll have a communication system, and your science officer can say, “Hey! I got a distress call!” and it’s over in a system you just passed. You have the option of investigating the call further. And Star Fleet can contact you saying, “The Borg are attacking this system. Could you take care of it?” That’s a large part of the way our missions are directed in Star Trek.

If that answers your questions at all.

I definitely hope this game is replayable and epic. I have spent my life waiting for the chance to be a Starfleet officer and live in Star Trek, so here it is. I have high expectations, but based on the level of customization alone I am gonna say that I've got a feeling Cryptic wont let me down.

I hope they do a great job on the game also. This type of game has been a long time coming. Again, I'm just hoping their is a lot of content, just as almost every MMO release, other than CO.

I have a bad taste in my mouth from CO right now, so It's probably not completely fair to compare. However, they are the same company and they did just push a complete lack of content bug ridden, had to be nerfed to death, game out their door about 2 months ago.

Call my concerned. I really want STO to be a good game that brings in a decent population where there are more than just 5 small zones with as little as 80 players in an entire zone at certain times (400 or so in the entire game?...that's too small for my MMO tastes).

I guess I'm going to add a couple more wishes:

1. Content
2. Communication
3. Caring
4. Can I also ask for an EPIC game or is do I have to wait and hope for....
