I know this will likely be an unpopular thread due to the commotion but I wanted to say thank you to all of you working to make us a great Star Trek game.
It's easy to forget about the things that you appreciate and the ones working to make it happen. I admit, I have done that very thing when focusing on the opportunities that I have yet to receive. But when I remember that I have waited on this game for several years and it's going to be within a short time period that I will get to enjoy it...I can't help but say thank you.
I know everyone is concerned about their CO subscriptions being filled by invites and that you're working hard in Beta. I just wanted to take a moment and say these simple words to all working at Cryptic..
Thank you!

Thanks for the work on STO? Yes. Thanks for telling people that CO subs would be first into beta then "changing your mind"? No.

In the end... after beta is over.... we will all be able to enjoy the game. Not being in beta means to me that I will be able to expierence the game from a new players perspective rather than having to do again what I already did in beta. Hence, everything will be new to me and that much more enjoyable.

I gotta agree with the OP. I remember back when I heard Perpetual went under, I was like, great, now we will never have this game. Thanks to Cryptic for the job they have done. People are upset over the whole Beta thing, but come on,at least we will have an awesome game in a few short months.
Alot of people seem to forget about alot of bad stuff happening in the world outside of computer games and such. There is a war going on in the middle east with American and allied soldiers being killed every day, there are millions outta work and worried about where their next mortgage payment is coming from,or worse yet, their next meal. The Government seems to care little for what the average working man or woman in america thinks about their policies.Crime is up all over due to the economic problems.
Think about all that next time you get upset because you may need to wait a few weeks to get into the Beta. Now doesn't all that make your problems with the Beta keys seem like a silly thing to be worried about. I agree, those that got the lifetime and six month sub should be in before any randomly selected people, and I am one of those randomly selected people who did not buy a six month or lifetime sub so I hope you guys get in before me,but,we all need to calm down, take a deep breath, and be thankful for all we have in these troubled times.
And please don't turn this into a political thread or flame war as that was not my intention. I am just saying, relax and thank God,or whatever Diety you beleive in that we are where we are,and we have all we have in this screwed up world.;)

I'd like to thank Cryptic for doing what they need to do to make a great game and not listen to the vocal whinority. Keep your focus on the game and we'll all be happy in the end.

I will say this... I am a CO subscriber. I enjoy the game but I am a Trekkie at heart. This thread is not about complaining nor about CO subscriptions. All the information on the entrance of CO subscribers has already been said.
Everyone in this world needs a thank you from time to time. Considering the commotion on the forums, I think this is a time to start appreciating the fact that we're looking at a potential awesome game within the Star Trek Universe that's due in a short period of time.
I posted this to say thank you to Cryptic. I tried imagining myself in their shoes as Star Trek fans and working with a passionate group such as ourselves. We can become so excited and full of expectation that we lose sight of what we have and focus on what we don't such as not being first in Beta. If you have a 6 mon/LT CO subscription then enjoy your time until you get in b/c you will get into Closed Beta and test the game that people have waited for before some of them ever see it.
Simple words.. Thank you Cryptic.

You're completely right. I felt the same way when PE dropped the ball. It's true that most of us have been waiting for a long time for this game and Cryptic has came a long ways in a short amount of time. There is a lot more to be concerned about than not being the VERY first into closed beta.

Thanks Cryptic, the game looks sweet so far. Beta or not, I look forward to enjoying this game. I remember back years ago I thought, wouldn't it be awesome to make a mmo out of star trek? These guys are making it happen. :D

This thread is not about complaining nor about CO subscriptions.
And yet, the opening words to this thread brought up all the commotion with those issues. So if you wont want people saying anything about them, you really shouldnt mention it in the first words of your post.

I'm not going to draw this out into an argument, but I will say this about my post. I did mention "commotion" in my opening statement, however, my topic and body of my post does not conform to complaining. What people do and don't do is up to them but the complaining in here is not sought after.
I for one want my position and words to reflect something positive on the situation, the forums and hopefully people working at Cryptic.

I'd like to thank Cryptic for increasing my physical activity level. For the past 2 weeks my adrenaline level has increased significantly due to this game, and I'm pretty much running in place trying to burn it off.
