Hello Trekkies!

I was wondering, if you could switch, like in ST:BC, as a bridge commander or tactical and stear your vessel by your self.


Would be nice to know!

Ship interiors are not yet available, but you will be controlling your own ship from the exterior view similar to how BC works.

I think they said they originally wanted to do that, but space being on a 3 axis plane ended up feeling too disorienting for the general public. Or so that may have been the reason for keeping things on a 2d plane.

If you look in the videos it is 3d but you can only bank up and down and side to side instead of being allowed to do barrel rolls and flips. They said they did this because flips/rolls made it disorienting and didn't add anything to gameplay. Just because targeting is only 2d doesn't mean that you can make blanket statements about how the whole ship gameplay being 2d.
