New Reality Playable Items

Hey fellow Trekkies!

I'm new to the forums but I've followed the progress of the game pretty much since day one. One question I have, and I'm sure it's been asked before, but will there be any playable items in the game that relates to the new Star Trek reality that was established in "Star Trek XI" ie... the new Enterprise or uniform variations?

But to answer your question, probably not. If you look here http://www.startrekonline.com/startrek_xi
you'll see that the alternate timeline was created once Nero want back in time. This trek is in "our" trek and not the reboot trek. Even if we went back in time, we would be going back in our timeline, not the alternate one. There might be some kind of device that would let us travel to the alternate timeline but there's so much to do here in this one it's not really necessary. It would be neat to see the "new" enterprise flying around or even the Kelvin but it's doubtful.

We might see customisation options that are similar to the reboot visually, but that hasn't been confirmed.

In this trailer (http://pc.ign.com/dor/objects/14270158/star-trek-online/videos/startrekonline_trl_video_101409.html) you can clearly see what appears the be a Constitution class refit based on the design from the new movie :) (Just note the general shape of the saucer section, and engineering hull)

this game takes place in the original timeline, and not the new timeline established by the 11th movie. that being said the last trailer showed a constitution class that looked very similar to the "jj-prise". it has not been seen or mentioned reguarding uniforms from the new movie, but given the customization cryptic is known for it wouldnt surprise me if this were available

The only effect the new movie had on the prime universe is that most of the Romulan Empire was destroyed and Spock is believed to be dead. The new trailer showed a Constitution class variant with a stardrive section and nacelle pylons that looked similar to the new alternate Constitution class (also commonly refereed to the JJ-prise, but I refuse to call it that stupid name). I hope we don't see too much of the new universe story-line wise though.
