Now i searched and couldnt find anything relevant, only a comment about other races. So no yelling if this has been brought up.
It would be pretty cool if there was an alpha quadrant version of the Antarian Trans-stellar Rally from that VOY episode. It'd come with little prizes like a pimped-out BO or photon torpedoes that look like trout.
Seriously though, anyone have thoughts on that?

Why not just get together with your friends/fleet and setup a race track. You can have spotters all down the track and make sure players follow the rules.

I CAN YELL IF I WANT TO, ok now that've I've taken my pills hehe. I like the idea but I'm not sure if it'd be practical except in a simulator type control system. The way the ship control system is coming along it might be a little difficult to race. Now if you'll excuse me it's time to trick out the engines on my runabout to race you hehe.

I hate to make the comparison, but here it is. WoW has that every Sunday fishing tourney. Ugh, i feel dirty.
So i guess if the ships dont work, there would be a pool of "event only" ships.

I know they have races in Eve, so I'm guessing it could be possible for STO. I know Eve isn't like STO, but the Eve ones are set up with a course in 1 system with way points, so, hopefully, we can do the same in STO. I'd love to participate in one as long as Irina isn't my partner lol.
