Next to look forward to is a great shot of a K'tinga or a D7, coming at the camera, with nice detail and coloring.

At Pax an Excaliber ship, destroys 6 of these at once without nay worries at all..

So Im thinking there pretty lacking in abilitie.....

Maybe the NPC'S are just leveld according to the area of difficulty in the demo, so player ones will do more than just blow up lol ...

That shot's at least a month old ~ it seems the BoP is slightly low on the poly-count too ~ bear in mind that's a small picture, lack of detail would be far more noticeable in full res ~ Hope it's not a finished model =(

We'll see when I go on the reverse of the mission and destroy dozens of Saber's or Miranda's, because I wont go over to the planet right away I'll clear out as many federation ships as possible in the zone.

I think thats just an example mission, and not showing how strong player ships will be in the game, it was more to show the basic style of the gameplay and how the UI might look, with an example of a few basic ideas.

Seems to me alot of the Klingon ships with be slightly modded versions of pre existing classes with a few new ones thrown in the mix. Dont be surprised if the BOP packs a punch.

Yeah, I am betting most ships arent fully modeled yet but it gives a good example of a nice bird of prey.

I remember hearing in one of the Pax interviews,or reading somewhere ,that the Klingon ships were dumbed down alot for Pax just to get the visuals of explosions,and a basic feel for the game,out to the general public. I believe the Klingon Bop will be something to fear. I don't remember where i saw that,maybe someone can back me up on this or find a link.

Well as a Fed player, the fact that an Excaliber could literally Pop 6 of these like balloons disapointed me, as if something is far too easy, than its not as fun and as challenging (which gets you playing non stop) so i hope its just say - a starting area for example.

To use wow as an example, theres level 5 wolf's that couldnt do much of anything but pretend to bite and die then theres level 80 wolf's that can chew and spit you out and eat you again, much harder and much more challenging and really give you a run for your money more than the puny versions. So in the starting area, there relatively easy helping to get you used to how to kill them, then as you go on to further area's, they get tougher etc and wont just die but make you work for it as well.

So lets hope the Pax Demo was just an intro of an initial starting area kind of thing and not what to expect from Bird of Preys full stop.:p

Its definitely some kind of newer model, the hull detailing is totally off for a classic Bird of Prey. That said, it still looks quite awesome!

true, but its definitely very reminiscent in it hull structure, and some details may yet be added.

Just FYI, they said that the difficulty was toned WAY down for the demo, plus cloaking was disabled.
