The title of this thread made me very curious, kinda like a button that says 'Do Not Press'...which I am always tempted to smash down :)
As to people cramming rank and such into every post via Sig or other means...I tihnk it is kinda silly to have rank (other then Fleet Leader or Fleet Officer) before launch. Mainly this is because I see many 'Admirals' from a given fleet but few Ensigns :)

I think Cryptic may provide something similar to what they give in Champions where your profile pic can be your character from the game.
I'm hoping Cryptic does this for STO. Perhaps give option to either show your Captain or show your Ship.
