One thing I haven't heard about thus far is exactly how ship repairs are conducted. I'm aware that the repairs will be managed upon the number of redshirts and engineering skills.

After watching the demo from PAX, I didn't see any options, at least visible on screen, that allowed subsystem management for repairing. Let's say that your forward phaser array and tractor beam are disabled. In combat, your first priority would be to get your phaser array back operational.

Will there be any subsystem management at the Captain's discretion, will it be based on solely engineering skills of individual systems per skill level or simply automatically repaired at a generalized rate?

If I had to guess I'd say it will be a combination of automatic HoT repairs by our redshirts and BO engineering abilities.

Who knows, but I doubt it's anything as detailed as what we seen in Bridge Commander, or even as far back as the Star Trek 5 game from the early 90s.

But it's probably a durability number and when repairs are underway the number goes up, reflecting repairs. And the rate of that increase is determined by your crew population (red shirts).

Don't forget liberal amounts of self sealing stem bolts.
