and today is the date listed on all the posters in Champions online...

much speculation has gone into if this is some info on an event in CO, or actually the start of open beta in STO...

Guess we will know later today... but i won't be seing this before sunday, so i guess i'll have to live down the excitement... :)

well co might do just that for sto...

having a 6 month or lifetime to co gives you sto beta access..
it's the same company.

it's definately not the next expansion for co, as it's on the 27th...
if it was a holiday, it would probably be announced in advance, and i do not think holidays are just now..

so that leaves either an impromptu unannounced event (rare) or sto beta...

Well, 9/10/09 has passed, unless you're using European date formatting, which Champions doesn't use, and 9/10, if I'm not mistaken, was Champions' release date in the US.

There were posters all over Millennium City with today's date on them.

I guess they were removed because I just loged into my CO account for the first time in 2 weeks and did not see anything strange in MC.

I would not get my hopes up for the beta to start with the dev team experiencing a "Lovecraftian plague".

If I was playing CO and seen that date in game I would have thought the same thing. Sept 10, 2009
